I was diagnosed with a tumour buried in my kidney and I can I was lucky to have Mr Thomas as my surgeon. The first visit to see Mr Thomas he was accompanied by a McMillan nurse so I had an idea what was forthcoming. Mr Thomas explained the situation, probability outcome and the procedure that would take place for the surgery. Everything was explained very clearly and with a clear understanding of what the goal was to be. Due to Mr Thomas expressing my surgery the date came round very quickly and I was seen within 6 weeks. On the day of the surgery I was prepped by the great nurses at Canterbury hospital and was visited by Mr Thomas who explained again the procedure. The surgery took place and the understanding from other doctors was this was a very tricky operation due to the placement of the tumour. All I can recall is waking up after surgery dizzy and asking was it a success and I was told it was. I can't express how much me and my partner owe to this guy. I know the tumour was found by chance, but the guy is a Wizard with the surgery and huge thanks if you read this Milan, I really owe you. Saying that I actually do owe you a bottle to say thanks, which will be on the way to you :) Thanks again, Ben

This man has changed my life completely. When I first came to see him he was very clear on what was happening to my body and helped me understand more myself what I was going through. He then explained my options and what it would entail making me feel much more comfortable and confident with the surgery I needed. Not only did he take out my infected kidney he managed to miss cutting through my tattoos and he has given me a new lease of life without pain. I can’t thank him enough!

I feel very fortunate for having mr Thomas as my consultant for a turp procedure he put me at ease from initial assessment till discharge he explained every detail and answered every question I had ,also people are put off turp because of retrograde ejaculation but mr Thomas approaches this a certain way to minimise this risk and it worked for me , a more caring and dedicated surgeon you won’t meet and good sense of humour too

I was extremely fortunate to be referred to Dr Thomas by my GP after my diagnosis, I believe I met probably one of the most caring considerate Surgeons that any person could meet. I genuinely believe he cared about my concerns, Dr Thomas was reassuring gave me time and answered all my questions, he was considerate polite and very knowledgeable in his field. There were times while in his consultation that I forgot why I was there I felt that at ease and comfortable and more importantly I trusted him. The surgery went as we discussed and I was kept up to date with everything that would be happening, more importantly the surgery was successful and I was happy. Dr Thomas also has a good sense of humour and has a natural calming way about his manner, My only regret is that I did not write this review sooner as it’s been some time since my surgery, hopefully I have put that right now.

I'm writing this for anyone who has been unfortunately diagnosed with a tumor of the ureter or kidney as I was and the worry , fear this news brings. I was referred to my consultant Mr Milan Thomas , while this was rather daunting Mr Thomas quickly made me relaxed and assured with the procedure to remove both the tumor and the kidney and the recovery afterwards. The operation went very well and I was allowed to go home the following evening. I would say to anyone who is worried about there operation in the light of my own experience that they will be in the very best care. I would like to thank Mr Milan Thomas and the staff of Canterbury Hospital.
