Mr Gale graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2004. He completed basic surgical training in Derby and Higher Specialist Training in trauma and orthopaedics in the East Midlands. He undertook fellowship training in hand surgery at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby, UK. Mr Gale is interested in degenerative and traumatic conditions of the hand and wrist, and more general trauma care.
