An extremely pleasant doctor in whose presence I felt relaxed. He really listened to what I had to say and helped to come to a decision on the way forward. Where I think this service could be improved is the appointment letter which asked me to confirm that I would attend. However, the number seemed to be constantly on a fax machine. When I tried to send an e-mail this was refused and I did wonder whether the e-mail address was correct as it is given as info@othopaedicssolutions.co.uk with no 'r' in orthopaedic! I tried the website but was also unable to succeed in sending an e-mail to Mr Butler. I finished up sending a typewritten letter.

I have been treated by Mr Butler for a few years now found him very sympathetic to the problem of pain I had in my ankle and the effect it had on my usually active life. He booked me in for a cortizone injection after x-rays had been taken which worked well and after a while I had another which also worked quite well but a third proved ineffectual so to my surprise he recommended an ankle replacement procedure. This was carried out on the 21st March 2019 I was treated with great care and respect and the team working with Mr Butler were brilliant. I was particularly pleased that my chat with the anaesthetist about my reasons for not wanting an aneasthetic and to have an epidural for my op were very sympathetically taken into consideration. Mr Butler and his team did a great job in a friendly and sympathetic manner. With a thumbs up from Mr B when he had finished his surgery and a quick check in on me while in recovery afterwards I have just had a four month review appointment with him when he assured me that all is well and the ankle is healing as it should. I was concerned about the uncomfortable feelings I was experiencing and he explained very clearly why these were happening and some tips that will help with my continued recovery So yes I like Mr B he is a seriously good surgeon and I feel very lucky to have been given the chance by him to get back to my normally active life

Mr Butler has performed two operations on me and each time he's gone to the greatest lengths to explain and discuss everything, both before and after. The surgery has worked brilliantly, better than I could have hoped for, due to his skill and the fact that he really seems to consider what would be best for me. In addition, he speaks to me sensibly, listens to my comments and always treats me with the greatest respect. I am extremely grateful to him for the care and treatment I've received.

Mr Butler is a true professional whom i would recommend to anyone. Having personally arranged an appointment so that my physio could also attend, i was made to feel at ease and reassured that any proposed treatment was the best option for me at this time. I was given an honest and clear understanding of all options and realistic outcomes that would assist my recovery.
