He explained in understandable detail the procedure , listened to my queries and put my concerns at rest. The operation then was a complete success and exceeded my expectations. What more can a patient want ?

I had a consultation with Michael Butler recently and the outcome was very successful. I asked for surgery on both feet due to severe bunions and Mr. Butler confirmed that he was willing to do the surgery after having xrays. Confirmation in the post was quick and I was surprised I did not have to wait a long time. I was put an ease and the hospital staff and nurses were extremely reassuring and guided me through the appointment process. Mr. Butler was very friendly and reassuring and although he informed me of the risks etc. of this surgery I felt confident for him to do the operation. I have no fears and trust the operation will be a success. Thank you

I have had two knee replacements by Mr. Butler & his excellent team. He always treats me with respect, explains everything fully and is an excellent surgeon. Thankfully he is now treating me for an ankle and foot problem. My operations have taken place at St Michael's Hospital Hayle. Both operations were undertaken using epidural anaesthetic as Mr Butler explained that recovery time was quicker and easier. Following my second operation the idea of getting patients up and standing and walking a few steps to help 'settle the prosthesis in' really made a difference & the excellent physio post op care' thank you all. I can recommend this surgical team, their surgical excellence, and aftercare. the nursing care and physio treatment are first class.
