Not often do doctors write reviews on their peers but the sheer professionalism I witnessed from this surgeon need to be exceptionally highlighted. He took the extra mile to help me when we desperately needed help a surgeon's support even though he was in the middle of a major surgical operation. He doesn't take any short cuts or risk patient safety. Having witnessed many a head neck surgeons in the area and hands down is surgical skills are second to none and would recommend him to anyone who needs a head and neck surgeon.

My first meeting with Mr Amin was at Wexham Park Hospital when he gave me the results of both my MRI scan and biopsy. His cancer diagnosis was followed by the words "But we can cure this". He went on to fully explain what needed to be done and that he would, himself, perform the surgery at Northwick Park Hospital on 22nd February 2017. My daughter who accompanied me to this first appointment and I left the meeting reassured and absolutely confident that I was in the right hands. I went to Northwick Park three days before the surgery for a pre admissions procedure and was further reassured when I met the pre admissions team. On reporting for the operation on 22nd, Mr Amin arrived at 8.30 a.m., and introduced me to his Assistant, Dr Kumar, and other Members of his Team who he said would be helping him in the operating theatre during my surgery. The operation began around noon and the next I knew I was being brought round in ~Recovery five hours later. In Recovery I was looked after during the night by a Spanish Nurse from Toledo who could not have been kinder or more attentive. At lunchtime on the 23rd I was transferred to Grey Ward on the 7th Floor of the hospital. There I could not have been better cared for. The Staff, both Nurses and Doctors making their rounds, are diligent and hard working and their care and kindness is exceptional. A week after my surgery Mr Amin came to give me the news that my cancer was clear and that I would not need radiotherapy. After this had fully sunk in, sobs came from deep in the pit of my stomach. l I was hospitalised longer than anticipated due to a setback in my healing process. As soon as this setback was discovered, Mr Amin phoned my daughter to update her. Mr Amin came to see me five days out of seven whilst I was in Northwick Park, including Saturday and Sunday mornings. During my first follow-up appointment one month after my hospital discharge, Mr Amin told me I had been a very good patient - in fact a model patient - he said. It is not difficult to be a model patient when you have absolute confident in your Surgeon and superb nursing care such as I rece4ived in Northwick Park. Mr Amin in a brilliant, kind and caring Surgeon and I feel so fortunate to have been his patient and I owe him so very much.

Mr Amin is a very caring surgeon. He operated on me in July 2015 at Northwick Park hospital. Now, a year later people are hard pressed to even notice that I've had facial/neck surgery, although my appearance wasn't my major concern (I had a cancerous tumour). He is a very skilled surgeon and listened to everything I had to say and allayed (most) of my fears about major surgery. He's a very approachable man who obviously knows his stuff regarding the need for urgent surgery and I can find no fault with his after care and recommendations. I have a lot to thank him for.

I was admitted to Northwick Park Hospital on 25/03/2015 for urgent oral surgery. I must say that the care throughout my care and stay at Northwick Park Hospital was absolutely outstanding. Michael Amin was my surgeon including others names I don't remember. However under his care, I was improving each day. After the surgery I spent some hours in the HDU with constant care from a lovely nurse. I was transferred to the Grey ward the next day. I was lucky enough to have a bed by the window with lovely sunshine coming through. Whilst I had many tubes and needles in my arms, the nurses took absolutely great care of me. To name some of the nurses, Eds, Ruth, Laura, Angela, Julious, Victor are the ones I remember. I had the dietitians team looking after me namely Megan who was great. What made it so good for me was that everyone listened to me. Whilst I was looking very poorly after having 6 hours of surgery, it was a fantastic team effort by all. I had so many medical teams coming to see me each day checking on my progress. As each day passed all the daily nurses especially were very good to me. I was so happy to be going home and since have made regular progress as each day passes. Thank you to everyone at Northwick Park Hospital, I will never forget your kind help support and care you gave me. Thank you all Jas Dobe
