I had abdominoplasty and hernia repair with Mr Venus on 28th October 2022. On my consultation in April, Matt was very informative about the procedure and helpful (showing me photos of his work) and being able to quickly and efficiently refer me to have an ultrasound on my lump above my belly button which GP doctors had previously diagnosed as a lipoma. Turned out it was a small hernia which didn't require mesh and this surgery was completed by another surgeon who was also great! As soon as I met Matt I knew I'd chosen the right surgeon. He made me feel looked after throughout my whole experience (before, during and even post surgery), put me at ease and is always available to answer any questions. Not only is Matt highly skilled and experienced at his job, he is also friendly and has a great sense of humour. I would recommend Matt to anyone thinking of surgery and I wouldn't go to anyone else if I want to have further surgeries in the future. I am now 3 months post op and I have never felt happier within myself. Even my family and friends have noticed a difference in my confidence. I can't thank Matt enough for how much of a positive impact this has made in my life.

Mr Venus performed my breast reduction surgery just over 6 weeks ago on the NHS, and I could not have been given a better surgeon. From my initial consultation he was understanding of all the problems my breasts caused me, and did not wince at the amount of questions I asked regarding the procedure and recovery. I am still in the late stages of recovery but can already say that he has changed my life. I am no longer in agony with my back and shoulders, I can sleep and exercise comfortably, and I feel more confident in my own skin. My results are well suited to my frame - they’re not too big and not too small which is exactly what I wanted. Thank you Mr Venus for looking after me so well and giving me such amazing results. A full term, twin pregnancy had separated my abdominal muscles and following physio to try to improve this I still looked pregnant. I did a lot of research into abdominoplasty and had consultations with other surgeons but within 5 minutes of meeting Mr Venus I knew he was the right person. He was professional but extremely approachable and didn’t wince at my continuous torrent of questions. He provided extensive information methodically, including up to date examples of his work, in a very caring sensitive manner and the support continued via email in the lead up to my surgery. I was cautious when thinking about the results that could be achieved but his incredible skill as a surgeon has far exceeded my result expectations even in the short time following my op. For me, the mental repair was needed as much as physical repair and he achieved this through his gentle, kind approach which is clearly innate and been refined through continuous practice. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Mr Venus in the future or recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone considering surgery.
