I waited a few years before feeling confident enough to have an operation to repair my perforated eardrum. It was only when I had a consultation with Matthew Trotter that I felt less frightened as he was very approachable and encouraged me to ask questions. Although Mr Trotter didn’t guarantee that my hearing would improve following the operation I am delighted that it has and in the two years since my operation I haven’t had an ear infection. If you need to have a repair on a perforated eardrum I would definitely recommend Matthew Trotter.

My experience of Mr Matthew Trotter started at Heartlands ENT dept where he diagnosed otosclerosis and then carried out a Stapedectomy on my right ear, his energy and enthusiasm in getting my hearing better was infectious and put me at ease with the procedure almost immediately. A couple of years later after a successful operation my hearing in my left ear had diminished to the degree that the same procedure was required again only this time Mr Trotter had moved to Coventry and I was told my consultancy was moving away from Heartlands and moving to Walsall. I made my feelings know and told the consultants that I wanted Matthew Trotter to carry out my second operation and so I followed him to Coventry. The extra miles and time spent on the M6 and missed appointments due to hold ups on the motorway and myself missing appointment times were worth every minute lost as once again with his infectious smile and character and energy to get things done with only the patient in mind my second operation went even better than the first one. He is a credit to his profession and I can't thank him and his team enough.

My experience with Dr Matthew trotter was amazing i was struggling to breath through 1 of my nostril and Dr Matthew sorted the problem with a surgery and done an amazing job very happy with the outcome

I would like to thank Dr. Trotter and his team for doing such a great job to help me to sort my sinuses problem out after years of suffering. Also the whole team at Day surgery unit and student nurse that kept me company and took care of me before and after my operation. It was a long wait for this surgery but was deffinitely worth it. Thank you all very much
