Mr Matthew Porteous

Mr Porteous immediately put me at ease on my first visit to him. He asked me lots of questions which made me feel he understood my condition and how it affected me as an individual. He was very approachable and listened to me carefully and answered my questions in an informative and knowledgeable way. He did not rush through my appointment and gave me time to think about the procedure I will eventually be having. I feel confident that I will be in good hands when the time comes. I would strongly recommend Mr Porteous.

Very pleasant, courteous and gave a full explanation of what was needed to be done to correct my right knee problems . I was quite happy with all aspects of the consultation. I had osteomylitis at age 5 resulting in the shortening of the left leg and 2 flareups since then. The most serious in 2011 resulting in the leg being nailed. Unfortunately Mr Porteous deals with hip and the more basic knee problems. Patients such as myself are normally seen by another more speciallised consultant - Mr Nicolai. He did however send me for xrays and blood tests so tht Mr N would have all the information needed when I see him.
