Mr hough has been extremely helpful with regards to my grans care within ninewells hospital. My gran had melanoma on her heel. This is not a common area for the growth of melanoma but Mr hough made her and myself feel at ease as he knew what he was doing. Such a soft spoken lovely man

I attended Fernbrae hospital for an operation., which I had contemplated for many years. Dr Hough explained the procedure thoroughly and was always available to discuss any further questions /concerns I had. I fully trusted Dr Hough and would highly recommend him to others.

Mr Hough carried out my breast augmentation and I am extremely happy with the results.
The initial consultation put me at ease and I felt he understood my expectations and discussed how those expectations could be met with this procedure.
My time in hospital was stress free and I felt confident in the care of the professional and friendly staff.
The results were very natural looking and the scars are very neat and completely hidden in the breast fold. The procedure was much less painful than I had imagined and recovery was quick.
I had follow up aftercare appointments and was reassured that if I ever had any issues or concerns I could contact Mr Hough for advice.
All in all I would highly recommend Mr Hough and his team.

Matthew Hough did an excellent job in making sure I was fully briefed about the operation and any potential complications. The result of my surgery is very natural looking and any scarring was minimised thanks to some skillful surgery.
Be very clear in communicating the cosmetic result that you want though, as sometimes decisions can be made by the surgeon that might not be in line with your expectations.

I had a great experience when I had my operation, I had previously had a blood clot after surgery eight years ago so was a bit apprehensive about this but discussed this with Mr Haugh beforehand and felt very comfortable with the precautions to minimise the risk. I felt the whole experience from admittance to discharge was excellent as everything was explained and staff were friendly, approachable , professional and helpful. I am extremely happy with the outcome of the procedure and the after care from Mr Haugh who I would highly recommend.

I am a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. As an NHS consultant my major interests are melanoma and skin cancer, perineal reconstruction and hypospadias surgery.
In private practice I specialise in cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, breast (augmentation, reduction and mastopexy) and abdomen (abdominoplasty).
I am a fully accredited Plastic Surgeon on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS).
I qualified from Medical School in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1994. Having trained at several prestigious units in the UK I completed my specialist training after a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide, Australia.
I take an active role in research, I have numerous publications in the plastic surgery literature, hosted conferences, contributed chapters to medical textbooks and presented at scientific and surgical meetings. I am involved in medical training and carry out regular reviews and audits of my practice to constantly monitor my performance and outcomes.
