Mathew Guilfoyle saved my life at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. He performed an emergency craniectomy to treat a brain bleed from a ruptured AVM. A couple of months later he performed a second surgery to resect the AVM and to restore the skull with a titanium plate. The care from him and all the staff at Addenbrooke’s was outstanding. Mr Guilfoyle always took the time to visit and check that everything was fine while recovering from both surgeries. He always explained everything clearly which helped me in making surgery decisions about a long-lasting solution for the AVM. I made a full recovery after these two major surgeries. I am grateful to this neurosurgeon.
