my dad mr Peter Ratcliffe was diagnosed with an,abdominal aortic aneurysm, measuring 7.2cm. about 4 weeks ago, well things was not looking to good for him as last saturday i noticed a change in him he was in a lot more pain than he had been,so on monday morning i rang Mr Claraidge's secertary who was very helpfull and understanding, she told me to bring him in to A&E which we did it was the first time we had met Mr Claraidge who was on call that day. What an excellent and superb doctor, his bedside manor was second to none he's obviously a very busy man but he took his time and spoke to us explaining all what he thought was going on and what he thinks should be done. And all the team operated on him from 12pm until well into the early hours of tuesday morning. what a fantastic and brilliant team they all are they all took the time and spoke to us at different times before and after the operation,to put our minds at ease, the after care he recieved was fantastic and also from all the staff on ward 4 where he went to after we could'nt have asked for more.so a very BIG THANK YOU to you ALL, xxx
