Mr Wevill ( Mark) was exceptionally thorough in advising me on my options so I could have laser surgery on one eye to allow me to have distance and reading vision. He explained the full process and benefits of the surgery. He was realistic and provided me with long term and short term scenarios. Before during and after the procedure he was very caring reassuring and was so positive that it would all be fine, and it was !! The procedure has been a huge success and I no longer need glasses for reading or distance and I am 50 years old. I am thrilled to bits with the confidence this has provided me with all activities and driving. I highly recommend Mark as a professional and in addition to this he is very personable as well as being a very kind and caring person. Recently had LASIK treatment carrier out. The whole initial consultation, procedure, aftercare and results have been faultless. The procedure itself was so quick & always felt comfortable in the hands of experts. Thereafter I felt no discomfort and was back to work the next day. Vision is now 20/20 so can't speak highly enough of Mark & his team

After attending an open evening and having all my questions answered, and my fears allayed by Mark, I went ahead and had lens replacement treatment on my right eye in April 2014. If I'm truthful I didn't enjoy the experience - sight is precious, and I felt quite panicked throughout the procedure. However, the whole team were very understanding and their care was second to none. No pressure was put on me to proceed, it was solely my choice. Aftercare was explained and the phone call from Mark, to see how I was progressing, was appreciated. I needed further treatment quite soon afterwards to remove the film that had begun to grow over the new lens. This time I felt much calmer and the procedure was completed quickly and proficiently. My vision improved - although my long distance vision wasn't all that I had hoped it would be and mentioned my concerns to Mark on one of my check-up visits. Was this as good as it was going to get? I asked. Mark's reply was that he wouldn't give up on me until I was completely happy with the results. Thus in December 2014 I underwent LASEK treatment on my right eye. I received the same care and consideration. Everything was explained to me - especially how I was going to feel post op; and, as before, Mark phoned in the evening to see how I was doing. I have been for my final check-up this week. I have perfect vision in my dominant right eye; and have been signed off. (But can phone anytime I may have any concerns or worries). I can't explain the freedom I feel at waking up in the morning and being able to see without having to reach for my glasses. No, I didn't particularly enjoy the treatment - but, yes, I would do it again! Thank-you Mark, and your team, for your support and your care.

My husband and I have both had lens replacement surgery by Mark Wevill and are very happy with the results. The staff also treated us with respect and as we live outside of the UK made it possible to for us to see Mr Wevill at our convenience and sometimes at short notice. We would not hesitate to recommend the treatment, the Surgeon or the staff at Birmingham. Thankyou all for your care and making the treatment stress free!

I went for my consultation in November 2015 and because my eyesight was so bad (+10.5 & +8.5) I wasn't sure if I would be suitable but having spoken to Mark he reassured me that it would be possible. I had lens replacement surgery in both eyes in March /April 2015 .The procedure only took about 15 minutes and was quite painless I was a bit anxious but was made to feel at ease by both Mark and his excellent team I can't believe how well I can see ,I can even read without my glasses.It is now 2 weeks since I had my 2nd eye done and everything is going well. I am due for another checkup in 4 weeks I no longer have to carry around spare glasses,contact lens and reading glasses for the 1st time in 50years I am glasses free Thankyou Mark and team for the excellent care you gave me
