Mr Davies is a very nice chap and an excellent surgeon. He listens carefully and attentively to what you have to say and then gives you his opinion in a straightforward, comprehensive and easy to follow way. He is never rushed and patiently gives you all his attention. He performed an inguinal hernia repair which went very well and from which recovery was quick and without any problem. The conclusion has to be that his knowledge and huge experience make him a very good surgeon.
It is difficult for a patient to make a decision on which surgeon to choose for their operation but in my opinion there should be no doubt that when you choose Mr Davies you are choosing the best.
Profile
I was appointed a Consultant Surgeon in Swansea in 2007. I specialise in general and colorectal surgery. In particular my specialist interests are colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and benign proctology ( haemorrhoids, fistulae) . I also undertake diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy.
I have an interest in hernia surgery and I am a member of the British Hernia Society. I am committed to medical education and I have been an associate professor at Swansea University since 2014.
