I have been under the care of Mark Cheetham for just under 3 years, and had major surgery as well as small procedures, all performed by him at the Nuffield In Shrewsbury. During this time, I have found Mr Cheetham to be extremely professional and caring, and always happy to spend time to listen to me and answer any questions or concerns I may have. He has always given me his utmost support and reassured me about my condition. I have absolute confidence in his ability as a surgeon and aftercare. Mark Cheetham has an amazing bedside manner which has enabled me to discuss the most intimate health issues without feeling remotely embarrassed. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to friends or family and if anyone reading this is worried about having to discuss personal symptoms to him, don't be. He is extremely approachable and could save your life, as he did mine. Mr Cheetham, thank you so much for being there for me, I very much appreciate all the care and support you have given and continue to give. You are one in a million.

Mr Mark Cheetham is a very kind caring consultant, having spent 26 weeks in hospital and several operations later Mr Cheetham always made time to listen, discuss and explain any of my worries or fears and answer any questions or queries I had, putting me at ease being in his care. I will never be able to thank Mr Cheetham enough and would certainly recommend him - a true professional gentleman.

Mark Cheetham is an excellent surgeon, over the past eight years he has operated on myself 3 times, my husband once and he looked after my Dad in his last stages of Bowel Cancer. Each and every time he has always been a great support and I felt in safe hands for each of my surgeries. Over the last eight years I have noticed he has got very popular as a Surgeon and as a Medical Care Director but this has not affected his compassion and loyalty to his patients. I would totally recommend him, I wouldn't want any other surgeon!

I met Mr Cheetham briefly when I required emergency surgery. The surgery turned out to be a perforated bowel which required a repair but also the formation of a temporary Stoma. In the subsequent weeks in hospital to recover from the surgery, peritonitis & infections I was treated with respect & compassion. It was a difficult situation and a hard change to accept but Mr Cheetham provided invaluable advice & support. My recovery was slow and required additional surgery & lengthy hospital stay - during this time I was visited by him every day, even days where there was no change in my status. In my many follow up appointments I was always listened to and my wishes/issues always taken into account. Mr Cheetham has since performed two more surgeries for me - one to reverse the Stoma and one to repair a hernia. He has always has my utmost trust and faith. He is a great surgeon but also a compassionate & caring person. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a surgeon & doctor. I have been both a private patient at the Nuffield Hospital and also under his NHS care at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The standard of care at the Nuffield is excellent, however I did not feel any lesser commitment to my care from Mr Cheetham whilst I was an inpatient at the RSH

Mr. Cheetham was excellent with my surgery and aftercare. He referred me to Christie's for a consult and continues to review my case and consult with my oncologist. He takes time to speak to you and answer any questions and I've never felt rushed or didn't understand what was recommended. I would refer any of my family and friends. He is an excellent surgeon and specialist and I felt comfortable in his care.
