My mum has just been to see Mr Chatterton regarding a hip replacement. He immediately put my mum at ease and took the time to listen and explain things . This was a great relief as my mum had put off surgery for 2yrs after a bad experience with her other hip, and it had made her extremely nervous about seeking help for her pain. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Chatterton, he has a lovely manner and facing surgery would feel completely confident in his ability

My wife recommended Mr Chatterton, I had been told at a previous hospital that I would need a full knee replacement. On examination he recommended a partial replacement. He came into x ray as he wanted the knee in a certain position. He put me at ease straight away, explained all I needed to know about the operation including risks. Answered my questions fully. My operation went well and my recovery was very good. I wished I had had the op done years before. I had my post op follow up by telephone and was reassured that my recovery was on track. I had complete trust in Mr Chatterton and would gladly go back to him in the future if I need any other procedure done.

I have had a total of five operations with Mr Chatterton, starting with half knee replacements and eventually these replaced with full knee replacements. I have also had a patella repair. Mr Chatterton explains everything clearly, will answer any questions you have. He is very professional and approachable and gives his patients confidence. I am due to have another operation on my problem knee and I am looking forward to being able to walk around pain free. His department is very efficient, when I phoned his secretary after being unable to get help at my GP surgery, Mr Chatterton telephoned me within an hour. I am very grateful for all he has done for me, my life has been greatly improved.

After a fall at home was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital examined and given injections to ease the pain and after x-ray was diagnosed with a broken femur. I was taken to theatre straight away where I was met by Mr Chatterdon who really put me at ease next thing I remember was waking up in bed. All the staff were brilliant couldn’t have hoped for more. When I went back for a checkup a couple of weeks later to see Mr Chatterdon he was such a nice man and if I was to break anything else I would hopefully be treated by him a true gentleman and so nice.

A surgeon who not only listens to you, but gives you the time needed to explain everything about your diagnosis and what treatment he recommends. Straight away you feel relaxed and confident in his ability, he builds that trust up between you. His examinations are very through and he makes you feel that you are important and not just a number. He reassures you on your day of surgery, checking you are ok with everything and has a good sense of humour, something I appreciate. I have recommended him to friends and colleagues. If I need more treatment for anything, I am going to definitely be asked to be referred to him after a poor experience with another surgeon.
