I was subjected to a section 3 human rights, whilst attending a procedure with a M Teo, he inserted a needle into my skull I asked for pain relief and he refused this I told him that the pain was that extreme I will pass out, he refused any support and continued, and I passed out briefly, I asked him for pain relief as my skull was in serious pain, he refused to supply anything, and asked me to leave, I drove 50 mile to this Hospital and due to the shock and pain I had to ask 2 people to remove my car, due to the negative approach from a Porter and teo I transferred to another hospital who have a lot of compassion towards patients and they stated that they have a lot of patients referred to them from this neuro department

I found the initial consultation very reassuring ... Mr Teo treated my (and my daughter acting at the time as my carer) with respect and as a grown-up. He listened to me and to my concerns about the procedure (meningioma removal), and gave professional advice about the impact of different options without patronising, or sounding as if he'd answered the same questions a thousand times before! Surgery under his supervision was fully effective, with few problems in recovery, and I feel I have my life back. Many thanks to Mr Teo and to all of his team.

Mr Teo was brilliant. He was able to explain very clearly about the tumour I had and the likely impact of having the tumour removed versus not. He was very clear on the risks and allowed me to consider options. I had the operation in December 2021 and the tumour was removed successfully - and I have recovered fully since. I have seen a noticeable improvement in my vision as a result and cannot thank Mr Teo enough for his expertise in this - I wasn’t expecting to get my vision back in my left eye.

I underwent a 10 hour craniotomy for the removal of a meningioma by Mr Teo at the end of October 2021. The pre-op consultation was thorough, detailed and any extra explanations needed were given as required. There was no sense of any time limit on the conversation. Mr Teo showed me the MRI scan and explained the implications of the size and positioning of the meningioma for my symptoms and the need for an early intervention. One month later I had the operation. I was discharged after 4 days ( less than the anticipated 8) and have made a steady and largely pain free recovery. I would have appreciated knowing that hair loss is not unusual in these circumstance but it occurred only over a period of 6 weeks and at the operation my hair was cut in a way which hid my scar. Five months later i have been able to resume many of my former activities and pursue a regular regime of exercise (at the gym and Pilates), and gardening. I have lost all the additional weight and 'moon-face' effect of the steroids. My stability is better than for several years. I saw Mr Teo again after 4 months and do not need to see him again for 12 months. My family and I are immensely grateful to Mr Teo for his expertise and approachability.

I had a benign tumour removed by Mr Teo in December 2021 and all I can say is that the service and expertise he and his team showed me was excellent. Any questions I asked were answered honestly and I am absolutely delighted with the outcome of my surgery
