Mr Marc George

The man is a magician and a really nice guy to boot.

After having 1 replacement hip and revision at Darent valley hospital both failing. Mr George talked me through revising with a different one. He carried this out in August with now no pain at last. I can't praise this surgeon enough.

Dr George took hours to explain to my why my previous labral tear surgeries did not work and how a replacement would help. He calmed my nerves and arrange a group consult with a spine surgeon, pain specialist, and sports med specialist to discuss my case and agree a path forward. He kept my expectations of the surgery reasonable and never made me feel rushed. The only issue I had was at the hospital they provided a lack of timely pain medicine.

I had a total hip replacement under Mr George's team in September 2018. Mr George & his team were very good & took the time to explain everything clearly to me and also took into account that I'm a mum to my daughter who has learning disabilities when scheduling my surgery. Mr George has an excellent team behind him; Simon in Orthopaedic admissions who scheduled my surgery, the pre-assessment clinic staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, HCAs, phlebotomists, radiographers, porters and domestic staff connected with Sarah ward. I was also lucky enough to attend a screening of Mamma Mia 2 in the MediCinema whilst I was an inpatient which was particularly nice as I hadn't travelled further than the bathroom for 5 days. Thank you Mr George for giving me my mobility back.
