Mr Foroughi put me completely at ease and was obviously a highly intelligent surgeon but at the same time could easily relate to his patient.

This doctor saved my life after I had a brain haemorrhage and seeing him it’s like putting on a velvet glove. He is so reassuring, has a velvet voice and is calm and kind. I was so lucky in an unlucky situation to meet this man. One of a kind. One of the best.

I had a very large (the size of a small tennis ball) tumour removed in January this year. This was benign but huge! Mr Foroughi and his team did an excellent job to remove this in a 5 hour operation and I am recovering well. He is a very caring person, answered all my questions and explained what they were going to do. He also spoke to my anxious family before the operation and was very reassuring. He has a very caring, clear, straightforward approach and is easy to talk to. During this lock down period he phoned me to see how I was doing. Also after a more recent scan phoned again instead of having a hospital consultation at this time to let me know that all was looking good. He will follow up with more scans to keep checking which is reassuring I also know that if I have any concerns I can make contact with him. I would certainly recommend him to anyone with a neurological issue in his remit.

#sayThankYou

Mr Foroughi undertook my Micro Vascular Decompression for a hemifacial spasm on 4 March 2020. He has been brilliant throughout. The care that he has provided during consultations proceeding my operation, during my hospital stay and post op has been second to none. He is kind, patient with a bedside manner that is the best I have ever experienced. The waiting list for this procedure is quite long, nothing new and we’re all used to waiting lists and know that it is not the fault of any of the brilliant NHS staff but Mr Foroughi took the time to call me personally to apologise which really took me by surprise. Bless his heart. While a patient in the Royal Sussex hospital, Mr Foroughi’s team were kind and caring and looked after me really well. After discharge I have had to have quite a few hospital visits to be monitored and during these Mr Foroughi attended on numerous occasions to check my progress. He also made many calls to check on me for which I’m very grateful. Mr Foroughi is an absolute love who really cares about his patients. He is dedicated, kind and patient and feels you with absolute confidence about the whole procedure. I do not hesitate to recommend him to others and wish him every good fortune.

Thank you so much Dr Forough with the care that you have given me over the last 7 months. You have put me at ease all the way through, even going into theatre. Thank you once again.
