Mano is a spectacular doctor. Not only did he save me from permanent spinal nerve damage but with his fantastic experience in his field I am able to walk after my very complex operation that he and his team performed on me. I can not thank Mano and his team enough for their fantastic and quick results on my case. He is a very down to earth surgent and the care of his patient is his priority! Thank you again, Chris.

I could not have been treated better by Mr Shanmuganathan. He keep me well informed both before and after the operation. He has a great way with people and has the ability to put them at ease even though they are about to experience or have just experienced the most frightening event in their lifetime. He keeps everything in simple terms and checks that you have understood. He must be a very busy man but he doesn’t let that get in the way of keeping the patient informed and content. His aftercare was excellent as well. I had a telephone call from him to find out how I was doing. I also received a letter summarising all we had talked about on the telephone call and detailing his plans for me going forward. I will always be grateful to him for what he has done for me.

I am a 29 year old man born and raised in the country with a very high pain threshold, I work in a very demanding and physical job, however it was a silly thing like lifting a couch the wrong way sent me into a month of absolute agony. I spent this month suffering spasms down my left leg, waking up in tears because of the spasms going down my back and leg of the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. On a scale of 10 it was 10 worst pain I ever had in my life at times I wondered I would I ever get better . Lying on the floor with a cushion propping up my leg. Upon reciept of an MRI it showed I had a prolapsed disc that was also trapping my sciatic nerve. I was seen by Mr Mano 4 days later. I had previous experience of Mr Mano as treated my Mother for spine issues 3 years previous. Thanks to him my mother is living her best life as result of it. I knew I was in good hands. Upon consultation with Mr Mano, he layed out my options injections or surgery. I at that point was of the impression give me surgery now i need it to kill the pain. Mr Mano asked me to trust him. He recommended this epidural injection. I was skeptical due to my pain but due to my trust in this man he convinced my girlfriend and myself this was the best course of action. I received the injections a week later. Although sore for about three days around the area I received it it was nothing compared to what I had. If I was suffering 10 from the spasms the pain in the area was only 1.5-2 maximum. I am happy to say I am 5 weeks over having the injections and with Mr Mano approval, I am seeing a physio twice a week to try and get myself back in track. I can honestly say I am back at around 75-80% I know I have a long road a head of me also being careful for a number of months before I am fully back to normal but I have made tremendous start. I can't thank Mr Mano enough, he is highly regarded in my family, I can honestly say if he recommends something to you, go for it. A very intelligent warm capable man who knows what he is doing. I seen Mr Mano privately for a consultation and then opted for a spinal injection in Jan 2020 to help relieve my sciatica pain from bulging discs from L5/S1. This helped the pain for few months which Mr Mano advised could happen. He put me on his NHS waiting list for microdiscectomy. I was due to have surgery in March 2020 but due to covid it was out on hold. I then received my surgery on 28th Sept 2020. I have had no pain at all from that. I was back to work within 4 weeks with no longer needing any of my medications I use to take on a daily basis to help try and relieve my pains. He was a wonderful surgeon from I seen him in Jan 2020 until my review appointment in Nov 2020. I couldn't recommend him enough. He is such a confident surgeon and explains in full details each procedure he had carried out on me. Thank you so much for everything
