When I went to see Mr Alam for the first time I was determined that I was not going to have a knee replacement. I had had one on the other knee some 10 years previous and it was not very successful with pain years after the operation. However meeting Mr Alam put my mind at rest immediately, and I agreed to have the second knee replaced. This turned out to be the best decision of my life. I was admitted to the Oaks as a NHS patient on Monday lunchtime and by 6:30 I was back in my room feeling a little battered. That evening Mr Alam visited me to see how I was. I remained in the Oaks until Thursday and Mr Alam visited me every day. After 6 weeks I had my post operation visit to Mr Alam. Both he and the Physio with the progress I had made, having achieved the required bend and straightness. However as he looked at the scar he was a little concerned with a red patch; he thought that there may be an infection or the soluble stitch not dissolved. He told me to make an appointment 2 weeks later so that he could check. What a very nice young man. I cannot praise him enough.

I had a very complicated Knee surgery and Dr. Alam made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process and was always there to answer any questions I had. He is extremely knowledgeable which helped set my expectations. The operation was a great success and Dr. Alam has been very helpful in the year that has followed with advice and reassurance. Mr Alam went into great depth to help me overcome my knee injury. He performed a knee arthroscopy nearly 2 months ago and I already feel back to my normal self again. This is all purely down to his intelligence and magnificence in theatre. I would highly recommend Mr Alam to anybody else if they were having difficulties with joint issues. I am very appreciative of his efforts and his work as this allows me to be as sporty and outgoing as I used to be before suffering my knee injury. Thank you Mahbub Alam.

Mr alam was exceptional, I had my total knee replacement August 2018, he explained every procedure clearly, he put me at ease, and I totally felt relaxed and trusted him implicitly, which stopped me from getting stressed and worried, my op was a great success and within a couple of weeks I was walking even without crutches, the after care I received at the oaks with Mr Alam was second to none, which I didn’t expect I cannot praise Mr Alam and his team and all the staff, including nurses and physios enough for all their care and attention So thank you all.
