I had a pcl and plc reconstruction carried out by Mr Alam in August. Prior to my operation, any and all consultations I had with Mr Alam he was very approachable about what I was to undergo in regards to my operation and put me at ease about the procedure. I would highly recommend Mr Alam to anyone who has to undergo a knee operation as he has a wealth of knowledge and was very thorough in his assessments of my knee and what I was to have done. I am making good progress in my rehabilitation and have to put that down in part to Mr Alams expertise in his profession.

He has a very friendly approach to his clients whilst still maintaining high professionalism. He explained my condition clearly and procedure was a success and I recovered quicker than expected. I would highly recommend Mr Alam.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Alam for his meticulous care that I was given during my recent knee replacement operation. I left our first appointment feeling completely confident that I was in safe hands. He explained everything to me in a way that I could understand and all questions were answered. Just prior to my operation, speaking to his anaesthetist I decided to have a spinal injection which enabled me to be conscious throughout the procedure. What an amazing experience! Something I would not have missed! His team were amazing, making sure I was comfortable throughout. I was an NHS referral and am extremely grateful for the care I received whilst in hospital. I have no hesitation in referring Mr Alam, a very caring consultant.”

Mr Mahbub Alam put me at ease from the initial consultation to my 6 week check. He was very good at explaining my knee replacement in a way that could be understood. He visited me several times whilst in hospital to see how I was. Answered any questions or worries I had. Very friendly, professional and approachable.

When I first met Mr Alam, I was suffering with a lot of pain in my left knee, which made walking , driving and every day tasks hard to do. After speaking to his secretary Megan an appointment was made to see Mr Alam the initial consultation was very relaxed and he took time to explain everything in a simple and understanding way, we discussed the best solution would be surgery, we discussed the operation, recovery time and price. On the day of the operation I was well looked after by all staff, Mr Alam came by before and after surgery to check I was ok, physio was arranged for 2 weeks after surgery, I am now 6 weeks post surgery and the knee is pain free and functioning as it should. Mr Alam and Megan made the whole process very easy I would highly recommend him
