I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to Mr Alan and his whole team at the Oaks. When I went to see Mr Alam for the first time, I had been in a lot of pain with my knee for a few years. He made me feel very welcome and explained everything. The day of my Op Mr Alan came to see me before and after my full knee replacement. My whole experience at The Oaks has been excellent every single member of staff were caring friendly and helpful.

My experience of Mr Alam has been excellent. He listens very carefully and I felt I could trust him after our first meeting. As I am young to have knee replacement surgery, the decision to go ahead with the surgery wasn’t straightforward. There was a holistic approach to my situation, and an appreciation of my mental health history. Any questions that I asked were answered fully and clearly. During the actual operation, I chose to have an epidural and no sedation. Because I trusted Mr Alam, I didn’t have any concerns that I wouldn’t cope with being awake in theatre. The surgery and recovery have been very successful. It feels like I have been given the gift of my life as a 45 yr old woman back. I would trust Mr Alam with any of my family members, of any age. If I need any further surgeries I would absolutely go back to see him.

I recently had a partial knee replacement carried out by Mr Alam. I found him to be very informative during the whole process from consultation right through to the operation and after. He explained what had caused the problem with my knee, and how he would be able to rectify the issue which would allow me to walk pain free again. He is a very nice down to earth guy and he puts you at ease and answered any questions that I had about the operation. The operation has been a success and I am now able to get back to my normal way of life. I would recommend Mr Alam to anyone who requires similar surgery.

I have had both my knees replaced and, on each occasion, Mr Alam kept me informed before and after the operation he also ensured that I was fit to be discharged. I found that Mr Alam is very likable person with good sense of hummer which made me feel confident about my forth coming operations. Both knees have now healed and the results are very good, mobility excellent and scaring is neglectable. I would recommend Mr Alam to anybody who is needing any operation within his consultancy field.
