When I first met Mr Alam, I was suffering with a lot of pain in my left knee, which made walking , driving and every day tasks hard to do. After speaking to his secretary Megan an appointment was made to see Mr Alam the initial consultation was very relaxed and he took time to explain everything in a simple and understanding way, we discussed the best solution would be surgery, we discussed the operation, recovery time and price. On the day of the operation I was well looked after by all staff, Mr Alam came by before and after surgery to check I was ok, physio was arranged for 2 weeks after surgery, I am now 6 weeks post surgery and the knee is pain free and functioning as it should. Mr Alam and Megan made the whole process very easy I would highly recommend him

I saw Mr Alam for a total knee replacement in the initial consultation I found him very professional but also very approachable , he had a friendly attitude which made me feel confident and at ease , he explained the procedure in detail without being to technical, on admission to hospital he came and explained what was going to happen through the procedure putting me at my ease at quite a stressful time . After the operation he visited to see how I was feeling and if I had any concerns, I will need in the near future my other knee replaced I hope to get Mr Alam to do as the first one was such a success after 6 weeks I can walk the dog without pain climb stairs and live a normal everyday life, I would recommend Mr Alam he has a kind and caring attitude

Mr Alam is amazing. He speaks to you on your level. Makes the doctor talk easier to understand and puts it into simple terms which helps massively. He listens to any issues or concerns you have and and reassures you and has an answer for you straight away. You can tell he has a huge amount of knowledge in what he does. Could ask for anyone better.

Altogether Mr. Alam and the hospital (Oaks) provided me with exemplary care and treatment. Mr Alam's care and expertise were first class and my replacement knee is healing and pain-free even though "lockdown" has reduced my ability to exercise my home exercise routines supplied the Oaks physiotherapy team and care of Mr. Alam has enabled me to return to a level of fitness that surpasses any prior levels I may enjoyed in previous years.

I was very anxious about having my right knee replaced, I’m not too sure why as I have previously had both hips and also my left knee replaced however, DVT followed one hip operations and severe bleeding followed my left knee operation. My experience of the most recent operation has been exceptional. Mr Mahbub Alam was so incredibly professional and made me feel totally at ease from the very first meeting. I can not praise his technical skills highly enough. From day one I did not see a drop of blood or experience a bleed at any time during recovery - bearing in mind that after my left knee was replaced I had to return to the hospital at least four times due to excessive bleeding and discomfort. The method of placing a wax coating over the wound was unbelievable. My recovery has been so much easier because of the skills of Mahbub Alam. Thank you so very very much.
