Dr. Moawad is one of the most sincere and professional people I have met. He has a positive and strong sense of who he is which filled me with confidence. Everything about the procedure was explained very clearly. I found Dr.Moawad appropriately light hearted and fun which did put me at my ease, whilst at the same time balanced with the upmost care consideration and respect for his patients. I have had a great experience in Nuffield Health Hospital with Mr Moawad. I found him very friendly and humorous when I had a surgery. He was very good at putting me at ease and I felt safe in his care.Mr Moawad is proffessional!!! I would happily recommend him to others.Honestly speaking all members of staff were so friendly, helpful and polite starting from the reception and including the theatre and check out.

After a recalled scan at Ashford Hospital in late November I was informed of a large aneurysm (6.3 cms )in the common iliac artery and to contact St. Peters Hospital immediately.
My allocation of consultant was Mr Magdy Moawad, a wonderful choice for me and an appointment was scheduled for early December .
Mr Moawad gave an in depth analysis of the options for treatment of the aneurysm with his brand of total professionalism ,reassurance ,interlaced with humour .My pre-ops were all carried out the same day .
My selection of endovascular surgery was conducted just before Xmas and met with great success and after one day was ready to go home.
It was a privilege to have met Mr Moawad even in these circumstances with his unique style of allaying fears and concerns of the patient .
He is an outstanding credit to his profession

Dr Moawad is the specialty for Vascular Surgery which I went under at Ashford hospital. From the first examination to the actual op, Dr Moawad was very caring and professional. He explained the whole process in full detail with a touch of little humour which helped me to calm my nerves. Through out the op, he kept talking and explaining what we was doing to help me to understand and not to worry.
He was equally charming after the op during the follow up appointment which he again explained in full the test results and assured me that I had nothing to be concerned of..
I would like to take this opportunity to "Thank you!" Dr Moawad and his great team at the time of the op and after for taking such good care of me..

Mr. Moawad has advanced training in vascular and endovascular surgery and has worked in many eminent Regional Vascular and Endovascular Units such as St Thomas’, St George’s and Royal Free Hospitals in London. This has enhanced his skills and has allowed him to become familiar with different and diverse surgical practices.
Finally, he enjoys playing music and has artistic talent that has been reflected on in his work.

He is an examiner at the Imperial College in London and he is also a member of the interviewing panel of potential medical students (MB BS) at St George’s University of London.

Research:
Mr Moawad continuously supports the clinical research and encourages his team to write papers. He also supports his colleagues in the design and analysis of their research.
Magdy is very skilled and confident in database writing, management and understanding of its use in clinical practice. This enabled him to share in the development of information and decision support systems in the NHS.
He devised many database applications that helped in audit and research projects for his colleagues and himself.
Personal interests:
Magdy plays the lute and violin and plays music to raise money for charitable and various other events. His most recent performances were in London, Paris and Sweden.
He was a guest of honor at the BBC world service in April 2013. He played and discussed the relation between music and medicine. This interview lasted one hour.
