Mr Barkatali performed an arthroscopy on my knee at The Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield. From the first consultation to discharge Mr Barkatali was very patient and took time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly and gave me absolute confidence. I can only say that Mr Barkatali gave me great confidence in him from the first consultation we had right up to our last. He answered all my questions in some detail and explained everything to me in as much detail as I required. I had a left hip replacement and would want him to do the other - if it ever comes to that. Mr Barkatali At the first meeting, I was put at ease with his friendly confident manner. He organised X-rays and a bone scan on my right knee to ascertain what damage had been done and what the planned operation would involve. The operation by Mr B and his team was a great success. Thanks a lot Mr Barkatali. The operation was done at HCA Hospital in Wilmslow, where everybody was so friendly and efficient, and nothing was too much trouble.

I saw Mr Barkatali on 13 December 2016 in consultation before my total hip replacement. I was very reassured by his very caring nature and felt very confident he was going to do his best for me. On the day of the operation (my first major operation) he again gave me every reassurance that everything would go well and any pain would be controlled. He came to see me after my operation to say all was very straight forward and he was pleased with what he had done. I saw him again as I prepared to go home and he was very kind and caring and I felt he was genuine. I have seen him twice more since then and felt he was a very approachable sincere man who had my best interests at heart. I would be happy to recommend him and would hope that if my other hip needs replacing in the future he would be the surgeon I could choose.
