I recently had the privilege of consulting with Mr. Cascarini at the Harley Street Specialist Hospital, and I am compelled to share my truly outstanding experience. As a patient safety lead, I highly value thoroughness and professionalism, and Mr. Cascarini surpassed my expectations in every way. From the outset, Mr. Cascarini demonstrated brilliance in his holistic approach as a maxillofacial specialist. Instead of focusing solely on specific treatments, he delved into my case comprehensively, leaving no stone unturned to understand and address my concerns. It was clear that he genuinely cares about his patients' well-being, and his reassuring and professional demeanor instantly put me at ease. What sets Mr. Cascarini apart is not only his exceptional understanding of holistic care but also his ability to add positive values to the patient experience. He goes beyond the conventional aspects of his role, providing a level of compassionate and comprehensive care that is truly commendable. I must also mention the invaluable contribution of Mariana, his medical secretary. Her efficiency, promptness, and seamless communication added another layer of excellence to the overall service. The reassurance and support I received from her were instrumental in making the entire process smooth and stress-free. In addition to his professional prowess, Mr. Cascarini demonstrated a personal touch that made my holistic journey with him truly special. The fact that he remembered details about my life, such as my wedding plans, spoke volumes about his genuine interest in his patients. It was a small yet incredibly meaningful gesture that underscored his commitment to a holistic and patient-centered approach. In summary, my experience with Mr. Cascarini and his team at the Harley Street Specialist Hospital was nothing short of remarkable. I wholeheartedly recommend him for anyone seeking not only a brilliant maxillofacial specialist but also a caring and compassionate healthcare professional who approaches treatment holistically. The positive impact of his holistic approach, coupled with Mariana's exceptional support, has left an indelible mark on my journey towards better health. This review reflects my genuine appreciation for the outstanding holistic care provided.

I would not recommend unless your Jaw is totally locked and require surgery. He seems unbothered to help if you don't require surgery, I guess its less money for him. He suggest botox or amitripiline and that is it. Complete waste... my symptoms getting worse one year on and I need to find another Maxillofacial that is actually bothered to help.

I had pain in my jaw for quite a few years. I had a couple of appointments with Mr Cascarini and he laid out a treatment plan clearly, explaining exactly what he thought was best, and answering any questions i had fully. He performed my surgery recently, giving full after care, including phoning me to check i was ok. He was very easy to contact when i needed his advice, and was extremely caring and professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of an Oral Maxillofacial surgeon.

It was actually a relief to see some other comments about arthroscopies with this doctor here. I feel you are sold these surgeries so easily with so much charm, but if you don't have a good result from it, the charm runs out very quickly. The surgeon doesn't want to deal with you and wants to obliterate you from his mind. I was told that no one has hearing problems after having an arthroscopy with him and to go to see an ENT. It turns out a lot of other people were told the same thing. These procedures using stem cell have very uncertain affects so please don't assume they won't make you feel worse. For some people they could hasten your journey to jaw replacement rather than slow it down if you deteriorate badly after an arthroscopy. Proper records should be kept of this and people should be told before they sign up. I think this doctor is all charm when you are signing up but if you call to say you are feeling so much worse he said things like 'i just did an hours long cancer surgery' which seem designed to make you feel guilty for saying how awful you feel. It was so upsetting because when you go for appointments befor the surgery he acts like you are a really important patient. If anything goes wrong and you get worse you are on your own.

I had an arthroscopy earlier this year. I was not told of any complications that could occur. I asked if there was any possibility it could make me worse. I was told no. This however was not true. I am in a far worse state now. I now have nerve pain that I didn't have before. I now also have joint pain, which again I didn't have before . I have no quality of life. In contestant pain. The communication and after care is terrible. I feel completely let down, untrusting of any further treatment that I know I will need with another Doctor. I am out thousands of pounds to be even worse that I was before hand.

Profile

I am a specialist surgeon of the Mouth, Jaw and Face (Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon). I'm one of the most highly experienced surgeons in temporomandibular joints (TMJ) replacement surgery in the UK, carrying out the majority of these operations performed in the South of England.

I am happy to treat any condition that affects the mouth, neck, jaw and face - from impacted wisdom teeth to facial trauma, from salivary gland stones to head and neck cancer, from dental implants to complex reconstruction. I work in a range of hospitals and treat both children and adults.

I have a special interest in TMJ disorders including jaw joint pain, clicky joint, locking jaw, restricted opening of the jaw as well as enlarged jaw and bone conditions. I provide diagnostic/treatment for oral cancer, including reconstructive surgery and I pioneered free flap jaw reconstruction for cancer patients. In addition I cover head and neck trauma; facial fractures; jaw fractures; salivary gland disease, submandibular gland conditions, thyroid and parotid gland conditions and skin cancer of the head and neck.
