Seen by Mr Longstaff who provided me with a full knee replacement on 27 November 2021. From initial consultation, to pre-op interviews and operation, the surgeon was excellent in every possible way. Aftercare has been wonderful with total backup from ward staff to physio's. Mr Longstaff was there and accessible and every stage of the procedure. I can not speak more highly of the attention that I have received and that of the Spire Hospital in Washington, Tyne & Wear where the operation took place. This review was written by John Archer

Mr Longstaff is not only the best healthcare professional that I have ever had the pleasure of been treated by, but he's also one of the nicest and most empathetic human beings I have ever met. He’s a true professional and a very skilled surgeon who I’d recommended to anyone that was thinking about having a Knee or hip replaced. From our first meeting way back several years ago to the last meeting we had only a couple of days ago he’s always very kind when he meets and greets you and whether its your pre op or your post op assessments he’s unwavering in the quest of making you feel very special.

- Convenient and ready consultations following initial GP referral - Clear explanation of issues, treatment and expectations - Understanding of my anxiety - Surgery dates promptly followed consultations - Excellent surgery team provided - Ensured he saw me on the ward following surgery each time to advise how it went which was very reassuring. - Both surgeries went really well; no issues following surgery and I am now pain free in both my hips within a space of 4 months. - Mr Longstaff provided excellent care and treatment and I would not hesitate in recommending him to others.
