I have had arthritis in one of my knees for a number of years and in autumn 2021 decided to seek advice from Mr Dodd . The joint was X-rayed several years ago and more recently I had a few steroid injections from my GP. Mr Dodd arranged for an up to date X-ray and after examining this and listening to my current experience with the knee advised a course of physiotherapy as the best way forward. I am pleased to say that this has enabled me to continue being active without further injections. I was pleased with the speed and ease of getting an appointment with Mr Dodd and with his advice, which came over as unbiased and tailored to my needs as far as possible. I should add that the hospital in Chichester was a pleasant place for the consultation.

I found Mr Dodd to be a professional, warm and engaging doctor/surgeon, who went well beyond what I expected in terms of patient care, reassurance, and medical expertise. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery, I was constantly updated and reassured throughout. I would highly recommend Mr. Dodd for treatment/surgery.

I was invited by the Nuffield Hospital Chichester to attend a presentation given by Laurence Dodd on the intricacies of knees and the various operations which were available to remedy problems. His positive attitude inspired me to ultimately have both knees replaced instead of living in constant pain. Having just been signed off following the second of two successful operations [left and right knees!] I can now say that my trust in Mr Dodd from that initial presentation throughout all consultations and procedures was not misplaced. I could not have wished for a more thorough and approachable Medic.

Mr Dodd performed a total knee replacement for me in February 2021,in April I started to have problems with this knee,and consulted Mr.Dodd. As I have come to expect from him he listened and fully understood all my concerns. After having scans MRI and ultra sound which really did not show anything of much significance, he still decided to perform arthroscopy.I will always be grateful that my specialist is Mr Dodd , who always listens to the patient above technology. I am now fully recovered and happy and smiling once again. Thank you Laurie.

Mr Dodd is a great example for his profession. The care I received was excellent, he explained the whole procedure to me in depth and put me at ease throughout the pre op through to after the operation and follow up appointment . I had separate partial knee replacements , one in 2019 and one in 2020 and on both occasions received the same exceptional care from mr Dodd and all his team at St. Richards hospital .
