It seems I should have trusted Dr Yathiraj more from the beginning as initially I was in favour of his course of treatment. My medications are definitely helping me now after a transition from other medications. I feel great. So I do owe Dr Yathiraj a big thanks, with high fives to the junior doctors and whole team!!!

Dr Krishna was involved with a Bipolar group I took part in .I found him to be articulate and interested in the groups progression. He was always on hand with advice and helped when questions where asked.

Dr Krishna is a truly awful doctor. Of course I’m joking and that only goes to show how awful my humour is or how nuts I am! Dr Krishna is a very down-to-earth, caring and warm-hearted individual. Doctors do work hard and have a challenging job in many respects. Indeed my grandad was a GP. So I want to thank the psychiatric team and junior doctors in charge of my care. Thanks.

I have struggled to trust Doctor Krishna, however today after speaking to one of his junior doctors and a member of the nursing staff, things have become a little easier. I realise that my understanding has been (and is) limited in certain fields. However, as soon as I leave hospital I would definitely like more information. Doctor Krishna always seems to listen carefully to what I say, and although sometimes I feel he does not ‘meet me in the middle’, I can tell he has his reasons and my (or others) welfare is primary. Thanks Doctor Krishna and your team. Btw I’ve started reading a book written by a doctor about how easy being a doctor is. (Joking, apparently it is hard work on the odd occasion).

Profile

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist based at Berrywood Hospital, Northampton.
I work full-time and look after all patients on Cove Ward. I am also responsible for half of the inpatients on Harbour Ward. I chose working on the wards over community as I find this role to be much more exciting, challenging and rewarding. I really enjoy my role and try my best to give a high quality and holistic service to all my patients and their carers.
