I was referred to Mr Mohanty as I had torn ligaments in my knee after physiotherapy treatment would not solve the problem. I found Mr Mohanty to be a very professional surgeon who took his time to listen to my fears over surgery as I have high blood pressure when having blood taken. On the morning of the operation Mr Mohanty took his time to reassure me and made me feel comfortable about the operation. After the operation by Mr Mohanty I am now pain free for the first time in years. I found Mr Mohanty to be a true gentleman to have as my surgeon with an excellent bed side manner. He is a true professional who took time and care to listen to my anguish and make me feel at ease. I would definitely recommend Mr Mohanty to anyone. There is nothing more to add except that Mr Mohanty is a true professional and a great surgeon who is brilliant at his job!

I was referred to Mr Mohanty as I required a full knee replacement. I found Mr Mohanty to be a very professional surgeon who took his time to listen to my fears and to put my fears of surgery at bay. On the morning of the operation I was very nervous as I was having the procedure under a spinal block and Mr Mohanty took his time to explain everything to me and put me at ease so I felt totally at ease going in for the surgery. I had a reaction to Morphine following the surgery but Mr Mohanty took his time to sort out my pain relief himself and make sure I was comfortable. I am now pain free for the first time in years. I will require surgery on my other knee in the future and would be more than happy for Mr Mohanty to carry this out for me. I found Mr Mohanty to be a true gentleman to have as my surgeon with an excellent bed side manner. He is a true professional who takes time and care to listen to his patients and make them feel at ease. I would definitely recommend Mr Mohanty to anyone. Mr Mohanty is an exceptional surgeon and clinician. Although I had seen most of the top back surgeons in London none of whom recognised the seriousness of my symptoms let alone the diagnosis, he did, however, immediately recognise that I had a major sacroiliac joint problem that prevented me from sitting, standing or walking normally. I had to put up with it for over 5 yrs before seeing him although I made the diagnosis myself in 2013. From the patient perspective, he has a great bedside/clinic manner. He genuinely listens to what you have to say deciding what may or may not be relevant in his experience and to his speciality. He is very friendly, engaging and caring. He is genuinely interested in you as the patient and solving your problem if he is able to help but if not he will tell you so. He talks and treats you like an equal. Therefore he is a surgeon you can talk to and ask questions. I went on to have left sacroiliac joint stabilisation surgery in Feb 2018. Having had constant pain in every posture and position and during sleep for over 5yrs to be completely pain free and to have lost all awareness of any discomfort in my left sacroiliac joint after surgery is just remarkable. He has pioneered this procedure in the UK and Europe, having performed over 400 similar operations. I went from being bent forward with a constant right sided tilt from constant severe muscle spasm associated with the sacroiliac joint dysfunction and pain to being completely upright and straight. It took about 6 months to feel the full benefit. It is of course all about picking the right patient for the right operation when an operation is required and that is why Mr Mohanty as well as being an outstanding surgeon is an outstanding clinician. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him. I have to also say that the nursing staff at the Vale Hospital were also excellent and very helpful.
