My procedure to relieve acute carpal tunnel syndrome was an immediate success. I had no discomfort after the operation so did not take any painkillers.After only two weeks feeling was beginning to return to my fingers and I was able to use my hand without any discomfort. I saw Mr Sharif following treatment by the NHS for a broken clavicle which had been treated with the insertion of a hook plate. I was very anxious that the bone was not healing but was also keen to have the plate taken out at the earliest opportunity. Whilst Mr Sharif cannot take credit for accelerating the healing process I found the attention and advice he gave and the use of ultrasounds to investigate the injury helped to reduce my anxiety. I was very pleased with the urgency he gave to my situation and felt he chose to operate to remove the plate at the optimal point. The operation itself was very straightforward and so far I have been very please with the recovery of my body and the aftercare provided.
