I initially saw Mr Deniz as I had been suffering with neck pain and pins and needles down my arm, he sent me for a MRI scan as suspected a trapped nerve, which was correct. When I saw him for the results he was very caring and talked me through the whole surgical procedure, a C5/6 posterior foraminotomy, and explained using a spinal model exactly what he would do. The surgery was a great success, what an amazing man! He came to check on me after the operation and was so kind and reassuring, I can’t praise him highly enough.

Mr Deniz was assigned to me when an MRI scan in Sept 2018 revealed a large occipital lobe meningioma in the right side of my brain. 4 weeks later, Mr Deniz performed a craniotomy to remove my tumour. He was very personable, patient and explained everything, reassuring me of his expertise. My surgery was a complete success, he removed the tumour in it’s entirety. I will forever be grateful to Mr Deniz for saving my life.

Having suffered a brain bleed stroke some 6 years ago, my bleed was coiled by Mr Deniz during a surgery, which was a success. Having then had a yearly MRI scan following this procedure, the aneurysm, this year, was showing signs of blood collecting near the bottom of the aneurysm so at the consultation, Mr Deniz thought the aneurysm should be removed by clipping it at the base and removing it. My first question was would Mr Deniz carry out the procedure and with him saying yes and describing the surgery, i didn't hesitate to say yes, do it. Like the other reviews, Mr Deniz listens to your concerns, describes in detail what he would be doing. This man is a magician. A true lifesaver. Thank you Mr Deniz and his team for looking after me whilst I was in Leeds General Infirmary, pre Christmas. If you need neurosurgery, Mr Deniz is the only surgeon that I would recommend.
