I am a Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with a sub specialty interest in Lower limb and extremity trauma reconstruction and the management of skin cancer. I am also a member of the Addenbrooke's Bone Infection multidisciplinary team which runs a monthly combined Orthopaedic/Infectious disease and Plastic Surgery clinic. My elective surgical work includes the surgical management of painful Neuroma in lower limb amputees. I undertook plastic surgery training in the UK centred in Liverpool and had additional registrar experience at Selly Oak Hospital, Brimingham and Birmingham Children’s Hospital. My training completed and I was entered on the GMC specialist register in 2013. Prior to starting Plastic Surgery training I covered a wide range of various surgical specialties. I completed Basic surgical training whilst a Royal Army Medical Corps officer also completing 3 years with 23 Parachute Field Ambulance as a General Duties Medical Officer. I take an interest in medical education and currently hold the role of department lead consultant for education involving coordinating trainee assessment in Addenbroooke's plastic surgery department and also act as approved educational supervisor to several trainees. I keep up to date with modern medical training practices and methods of assessment and am a Member of the Faculty of Surgical Training of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. I am on the faculty of “The Cambridge Lower Limb Flap Course” and have a wide experience of teaching and training a diverse cohort.
