I saw Kash following a skiing accident and he made sure I got an MRI scan quickly to assess the situation. He recommended a knee brace to maximise my chances of not needing surgery which proved to be an effective course of treatment. I had some lingering symptoms which were of concern so he booked me in for another MRI scan to see how it was healing, and check what was going on. He was good at clearly explaining everything and answering any questions I had. He was always honest about the possibility of needing surgery on my PCL and MCL but made it clear that he hoped to avoid this as it would be a long recovery - thankfully he was correct and my knee is now pretty much back to normal.

I had a consultation with Mr Akhtar at the Fortius Clinic after several weeks of knee pain and swelling from a sports injury. Mr Akhtar reassured me that deals with the type of injury I had on a very regular basis and ordered a MRI scan to confirm his diagnosis. I was able to have the MRI scan the following day. Fortunately my injury could be managed conservatively and Mr Akhtar put me in contact with a highly recommended physiotherapist. After several physiotherapy sessions, I had a follow up appointment at the Fortius Clinic with Mr Akhtar to check my progress. I would highly recommend Mr Akhtar to anyone suffering from a knee injury. The care I received was excellent!

In order to get an examination of my ongoing knee and shin pain, I was happy to be in the experienced and trustful hands of Dr. Akthar. In our initial consultation, he listened to me, asked the right questions and performed a range of tests, before arranging an MRI scan and blood tests. In discussing the results of the MRI scan and additional tests, Dr. Akthar walk me patiently through the results, and discussed the treatment steps with me. In doing so, he was open with me and did not recommend anything that was not required (e. g. operation). In addition, his clinic letters are carefully written with detailed information on the results. I cannot recommend Dr. Akhtar highly enough. If I have problem with my knees in future, he will be definitely my first choice.

I highly recommend Mr Kash Akhtar. I had a Meniscectomy performed by Mr Akhtar and have fully recovered after 5 weeks only. Even the day after surgery I could walk without any pain. I was impressed by the clear information and guidance provided by him before and after the procedure. He always spent a lot of time explaining exactly what happened to my meniscus, what will be done during the procedure and afterwards reviewed and explained in detail the operation he performed. There was never any rush and I felt very comfortable being treated by him. I walked the 3 miles to my last review visit, and back again, without any discomfort and even didn't think about my knee at all. I thoroughly recommend him. Thank you so much Kash!
