Reviews
After several appointments and operations at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital my situation was no better. After the first operation I was told incorrectly how to look after the wound which did not help. I tried to contact the surgeon many times with questions I had but could never get to speak to him or to have my messages replied to. I had my final appointment at the Norfolk and Norwich and was told no more could be done there and I was to be referred to St Marks hospital London. To get the referral was difficult as I had to keep contacting Norfolk and Norwich to see if anything had been arranged. I received my first appointment and a friend drove me from Norwich to London. St Marks was very professional and organised and I had my first operation there and met with my surgeon Mr Kapil Sanhan who explained what was going on and what the next step would be. I made 5 further trips to London and had another 3 operations after which I was told it should be all done now which was a great relief. This had been going on for more than 2 years so to finally have this resolved was very good and my thanks goes to Mr Kapil Sanhan and the staff at St Marks.
I had a few issues with my previous appointments at St Marks. However I finally got the appointment and managed to see Dr Sahnan. He was amazing, he spent time trying to understand my challenges with my Jpouch and wanted to learn about my background since I was new to the clinic. I haven't felt heard in a long time and I finally felt like someone had heard my challenges and cared.
Thank you Dr Sahnan
