From the outset Mr Gnanalingham was caring, down to earth and professional. Initially he sorted out my pain medication and offered me the first available opportunity for the surgery required this took three weeks. Prior to surgery he was reassuring, knowledgeable and incredibly supportive. The surgery took place at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle and could not have gone any better! The recovery and healing time has been as explained and my pain has disappeared. I would like to thank him and his team for the fabulous care and early results.

After an initial consultation with Mr Gnanalingham I was quickly referred for an MRI scan. I then saw Mr Gnanalingham and he showed me the various scans and confirmed the lump to be a suspected lipoma, but as it was causing some pain he discussed with me the various options including surgery to remove the lump which is the route i opted for. On the day of the operation, Mr Gnanalingham came to see me before the operation along with various other members of his great team. Again in recovery and later in the day he came again to see me before discharging me the same evening. The care throughout the day was exceptional. I then visited Mr Gnanalingham 3 weeks after the operation to ensure all was good, and that everything was healing as expected. During my entire experience from booking the initial consulation through to aftercare Vaani (Mr Gnanalingham's PA) was in constant contact via phone and email ensuring I was aware of the various stages, next steps and aftercare. I am now pain free thanks to Mr Gnanalingham and his team.

I saw Mr. Gnanalingham recently with a painful back issue, that thankfully did not lead to surgery. He was everything you could wish for in a surgeon – informed, interested, and with a view that back surgery is a last resort which should not be done if it is not warranted. His excellent reputation is entirely justified.

I had been struggling with a rather severe pain going through my buttocks and into the ankles of both legs when I eventually decided to take action and sought out the help of Mr Kanna Gnanalingham. I began my first consultation with some trepidation. However, I was immediately reassured by the professional and empathetic nature of Mr Gnanalingham, who had accessed an earlier MRI scan on my back I had previously taken three years ago on the NHS. He carefully and methodically discussed a plan to deal with my spinal stenosis and I was extremely comfortable in putting my trust in Mr Gnanalingham. Following another MRI scan, he suggested a initial plan of conservative treatment at a physiotherapist. Whilst this did help slightly the pain did not go any and he suggested an epidural which he carried out at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle. My pain has to a large extent now gone but I am aware through his clear and concise follow up consultations that I may need further injections or even an operation. His care and compassion has been outstanding and I have no hesitation at all in continuing my treatment under his superb care.
