I have recently had Cataract and Refractive Lense replacement surgery done by Mr. Julian Stevens and I can honestly say it has been a truly positive experience from beginning to end. I have had two types of corrective surgery performed by him over a 13 year span and some may find the cost somewhat eye watering but I can assure you it is worth every penny. I am ten days post surgery and can see clearer than ever before, read my phone and laptop clearly and no longer defendant on glasses... a real sense of freedom! I personally wouldn't have had this done by any other surgeon purely down to my trust in him. He is simply the best and I cannot recommend him highly enough. His team are efficient and reliable and everything is easy and stress free. A wonderful team of professionals. Thank you Mr Stevens and your fantastic team!

I went to Mr Stevens 3 or 4 years ago to complain about blepharitis in my eyes, a problem I have had since a young teenager (I am 33 now). The NHS were never able to help and the problem remained. After speaking to Mr Stevens, he offered me some eye drops which cleared up the issue after only a few months. I was also taken by the idea of getting laser eye surgery and after a few consultations decided to go ahead with it. The surgery was done in Moorfields hospital on the top floor in a special private clinic and I felt nervous but the staff kept me calm during the entire surgery. You have to take a lot of drops after the surgery for the next few days/weeks but its easily manageable. After a week my eyesight returned so I could function again at my job and since then I have noticed not a single issue. It has been amazing and well worth it. I very much recommend Mr Stevens to other potential patients looking for his services.

5 months ago I was very short sighted, and my vision had deteriorated and got much dimmer during lockdown. I was really worried and my high street optician could only offer thicker glasses and/or contact lenses. I knew a friend who had had surgery with Mr. Stevens and it had changed her life. I thought a consultation would clarify my options and at least give me a really thorough examination and diagnosis. From the first meeting with Mr Stevens' lovely, caring and professional team, my fears and questions were answered. I was guided through the options and processes and appraised of a realistic likely outcome. My considerable anxiety was not dismissed, but managed as a normal part of their remit. I was helped through without being made to feel a nuisance - thank you all for your patience and kindness. I had both lenses replaced, (with laser light show) and can now see the world in bright colour (no cataract clouding) and clearly (myopia corrected). Straight after surgery I could look across the room and see my husband for the first time in 40 years, without glasses/contacts - amazing! There was a very clear after care regime with an app to prompt and I had no complications or pain throughout. I can now see far into the distance, as i never have since I was 7 years old, yet i am still able to thread a needle and read normal sized print without the need for reading glasses. Thank you so much Mr. Stevens and your lovely team. May you keep being kind and changing lives for a long time.
