A great experience from initial assessment to post operation checks. Appointments started at the appointed time and everyone involved were both courteous and professional. Mr Julian Stevens gave me such a sense of confidence that not only was the dual lens replacement the right thing to do but more importantly, through his knowledge and confidence in turn gave me the confidence to proceed. I have achieved my stated goal of being able to see where the golf ball goes when I whack it!

From the initial consultation to the op and aftercare Mr Stevens and his team were excellent. My eyes have never had so much expert scrutiny and I felt in very safe hands and had the operation, which was quick and painless, to remove cataracts from both eyes and replace lenses in July of this year.
The whole team were good at communication and I learnt a lot about how they arrive at solutions for each patient's vision. After care is clearly documented too and it's easy to contact the clinic if you have worries as your eyes recover and appointments easy to make if you need further follow up.
My eyes are great and still improving and free of specs, hurrah!

What a difference a day makes! No more steamed glass, rain on lenses and choosing between glasses. I'm set free from glasses after my lasek surgery. Worth every penny and after dealing with another company prior and having a disaster I wouldn't go to anyone else!! Built my confidence up and I found the whole thing painless. I had 2 weeks off work as I did it over Christmas which worked well for me, then my first 2 weeks back at work I increased my screen writing size as I was struggling a bit, but it really does get worse before it gets better! I can't fault as they said it would be like that but the results are well worth it!!

Thank you so much to Julian Stevens for 25yrs of amazing vision following laser treatment for both eyes at Moorfields eye hospital.
Not only very short sightedness but severe astigmatism and he managed through his expertise to correct both. I have been so grateful to him over this period of time which allowed me to be contact lens and glasses free which has been life changing.

Biography
Julian Stevens won a scholarship to study Medicine at Merton College, University of Oxford, where he was then awarded a Postmaster scholarship. He graduated top of his year in 1980 and was awarded the Oxford University Prize in Medicine for the top First Class Honours Degree. He continued his clinical medical training at Clare College, University of Cambridge and at the Cambridge Medical School. Higher training was undertaken at the Oxford Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
After completing his general ophthalmic surgical training, he undertook two years of sub-specialist training, with Fellowships in Lens, Corneal and then Refractive Surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Mr Stevens was appointed as Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital in January 1996. His main interest is laser refractive surgery. He has been involved in the development and application of wavefront refractive surgery and has personally performed over 10,000 wavefront procedures. Mr Stevens was the first Director of Refractive Surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Mr Stevens is an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and holds the Certification of the Royal College in Laser Refractive Surgery. He is an advisor to the British Society for Refractive Surgery and is on the Board of the International Society of Refractive Surgery. He has won prizes from both the American and the European Societies of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is the recipient of the 2007 American Academy of Ophthalmology (ISRS/ AAO) Lans award for innovation in refractive surgery.
Internationally recognised as an expert opinion leader, Mr Stevens has published peer reviewed papers on refractive surgery and is regularly invited to deliver keynote lectures at national and international ophthalmic meetings. Mr Stevens trains Ophthalmic Surgeons in advanced refractive and cataract surgery. He founded the Moorfields basic and advanced IntraLASIK courses and the Moorfields wavefront training course for Ophthalmic Surgeons.
