Mr Joseph Manjaly

From the very first meeting with Dr. Joe Manjaly when we were introduced, he examined me and carefully listened to the story of my trauma. all the way through the surgery itself and the post-operative follow-ups, I have been profoundly impressed by his professionalism and, even more importantly, by his humanity. I am a patient who went through a severe quad bike accident. In addition to the middle ear trauma and hearing loss, I suffered multiple other injuries. The recovery process has been long, exhausting, and emotionally draining. Among everything I was dealing with, the hearing loss was one of the most distressing parts of my trauma. I sincerely hoped Dr. Manjaly would be able to help me and from our very first consultation, he inspired complete confidence and trust in me. I knew I wanted him to perform my surgery. He answered every single one of my questions with patience and clarity. I had constant access to him by email and phone, and whenever I needed to see him in person, an appointment was arranged. That level of availability and care meant more to me than I can express. On the day of the surgery, I felt calm and certain in my decision. My ossicles were damaged and required reconstruction with a titanium prosthesis to replace the non-functioning bones. During the procedure, Dr. Manjaly was truly brilliant highly skilled, focused, and incredibly supportive. The entire team he worked with, including the anesthesiologist and nurses, were exceptional. What touched me deeply was that after the surgery, he stayed until the very last moment to make sure I felt completely okay. He told me he would not leave the hospital until I felt absolutely fine and safe and he truly meant it. He kept his word. I was fully stable and reassured when he finally left. That level of dedication and care is something I will never forget. What feels almost unbelievable is that I can now have phone conversations using my operated ear, something that was absolutely impossible before the surgery. Even though I am still at a very early stage of recovery, just three weeks post-operation, I can already clearly see and hear the difference. The improvement is real, and it is life-changing. For me, Dr. Manjaly is a doctor who approaches every patient individually, with genuine care and a true desire to help. I strongly felt that my case mattered to him, it was not just another surgery. That personal attention made all the difference during such a vulnerable time in my life. I am deeply grateful from the bottom of my heart that he gave me my hearing back. What he did for me has truly changed my life.

I recently had stapes surgery with Mr Manjaly, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience or the outcome. My results were excellent, even better than we had expected in terms of the level of hearing improvement, and the difference has been life-changing. From the beginning, Mr Manjaly was very reassuring. Firstly Mr Manjaly empathy and the time given, and how compassionate he was about my situation was outstanding He gave clear instruction and didn’t go into things to confuse me, as he took me through each stage carefully, which really helped, the outcome ideas he gave were really realistic. Working through all of these we could then work out that the Osia device was a good option. Communication for surgery was quick and consise, he came himself to see me and explained things clearly and took on how I was feeling. After over half a century being totally deaf in one ear, isolated, depression what Mr Manjaly has been able to do for me has changed my life and I had nothing but excellent treatment.

Our 7-year-old daughter had to go through surgery to repair a hole in her eardrum, and from the first visit to the last (just had the all clear on her successful operation), Mr Manjaly was exceptional. He guided us through the various options ahead of the procedure, including the potential implications and challenges. Still, he was also clear and reassuring about what he would do and what he expected as an outcome. All in all, he and his team were fantastic with our daughter’s experience, which was so good that she was never fearful of the operation or recovery. We couldn’t thank him enough for what he has done for us and would highly recommend him.

My experience was excellent throughout. The condition was diagnosed swiftly and explained clearly, I was able to quickly get an appointment for surgery (which was successful), and the post-op check-ups were similarly informative and pleasant. Mr Manjaly performed surgery on my ear to treat a small cholesteatoma that had been recently identified. From beginning to end, he inspired confidence, was very professional, and provided all the correct advice. The surgery he performed was of the highest standard and is a testament to his skill, as he was able to complete the operation going through the ear canal. The recovery period was as good as I could have hoped.

Ever since I was referred to Mr Joseph Manjaly my hearing loss care has vastly improved. Before I was bumping along from recurring ear infection to another, with no clear view on how to resolve my issues post Cholesteatoma surgery a number of years previously. At one point I could barely hear in meetings and follow the discussion and it was starting to undermine my work and my confidence as well as making me withdraw from social contact. His consultation and support has turned that all around and now with a BAHA hearing implant on one side and then recently on the other, I can hear people, music and the world around me perfectly and my confidence is restored. He is a lovely man and has always set out the various options available to me clearly, logically and with care. I cannot thank him and his team for the 1st Class care and professionalism I have recieved.
