I would like to express my great satisfaction with the care and support that I received during the process of having a Total Hip Replacement under Mr. White and his team. It is now just over six weeks since the surgery and I feel almost back to normal, testament to the skill of the surgeon and the exercise regime provided for which I am truly thankful.
The only negatives, above the long waiting time for this type of surgery under the NHS, would be the lack of response to voicemails left with some staff at Hinchingbrooke Hospital ahead of admission and the urgency to get you home after the procedure. In my case I left the hospital just over 24 hours after being operated on. I wasn't fully prepared for the mount of pain I was going to experience that first night at home although a phone call to the ward staff at Hinchingbrooke did help greatly in understanding what painkillers I should be taking. So may be one more night in hospital would have helped or a better written explanation of the painkillers issued
Those negatives aside and looking back at the whole experience it has, in my case, all been well worthwhile and I can hopefully look forward to an improved life with nice long walks that I enjoyed before thanks to Mr. White, his team and NHS staff in general.
My experience could not have been better mr white was very friendly and made me feel Totally happy about having my hip replaced as I had been very anxious before seeing him going forward I would thoroughly recommend him to I feel I have my life back everything was great anaesthetist was lovely even the man wheeling my trolley was lovely all the staff treated me well all in all a great experience.
Mr White was courteous, listened to my fears and concerns and addressed them in a professional manner
. I would recommend him for hip replacement surgery and would have no qualms about using his services again
Dr White did my knee replacement and after 3 weeks I was walking with minimum pain. He was very nice to talk to and explained everything .I felt very confident in his care. It is 10 weeks on now and I am walking very well. I am pleased that I had the operation.
It is not possible to give suggestions on how this doctor could improve as he was first
class in every respect. His bedside manner was second to none.
He ensured that I knew what was happening from start to finish.
I am over the moon at the final result.
