I initially had my doubts about having a partial knee replacement (as I had previously had the full works done on the other knee) however he assured me that in my case, a partial replacement would be more than satisfactory.
After the operation I took the advice of the surgeon and physio and worked the exercises and was able to walk unaided in approximately one week. I was passed off by the physio after 2 sessions and pleased to say I have had no trouble since. Now 11 months on I have been completely signed off from this doctor.

I am a consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in hip and knee surgery. My NHS practice is based at Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital, both part of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
I perform a large number of hip and knee replacement operations each year. I have a subspecialist interest in revision hip surgery and the treatment of the young patient with an arthritic hip. I also offer certain arthroscopic knee procedures and partial knee replacements where appropriate.
