I can say that I have never, ever had such a wonderful doctor treat me before.
From his first entrance on a bleak grey afternoon, he was like a ray of sunshine.
Warm and caring,he explained what was going to happen in surgery and he put my mind at rest.
I had been shocked by my fall and fracture afraid of the outcome.
Jonathon White calmed me with his pleasant friendly manner with confidence ofI knew it would be all right. He came to see me when time ran out on theatre that afternoon and assured me I would be first in the morning.
Next day I was wheeled down and connected to all sorts and numbed ready for my new hip.I was fascinated that Jonathon would operate with me on my side and what a revelation it was to hear the drills and calls for number 23 screw then the beautiful neat sewing that I was aware of but with no pain.What a magnificent job he did.
I am so thankful that I was blessed to go to Peterborough City Hospital and be treated by surgeons of such caliber .
In my opinion Jonathan White is a keeper.

I’m under the care of mr white,from when I first met him he understood what I was going through,always listened .I’ve had my first knee replacement done and now waiting for my other knee.I trust mr white totally and I wouldn’t be here now without his help.one of the best consultants I have met.

What a wonderful man and a great asset to PCH. Initial consultation was relaxed and informative, he also listened to me and answered my questions. The operation was a doddle, no pain at all on coming around. Up and able to walk with crutches next day. thanks to his great work I made a very quick recovery back to normal. I hope Mr White is still at PCH when I need the other hip replacing.

On behalf of my elderly mother I’d like to say that Dr White did a fantastic job on a very nasty break that my mother had after a fall. She is starting walk with a frame again and it won’t be long before she is back to the mobility and confidence that she enjoyed before her fall. She said that Dr White always made her feel at ease and she was kept informed of what was happening (although she’d forgotten most of it by the time I came to visit, but she is 92!) It would have been great if his notes were made available to me on the ward so I could have a clearer understanding of her care, as my mother isn’t a reliable source of information! A small point really but I think it would have great to know some more of the detail of what was going on. I know that he was keen to talk to me on the ward but we always kept missing each other, but I appreciate that he had made the effort to see me on several occasions.

Mr White was fully aware of the details of my case, offered explanation and us a view of my damaged Leg X-rays.
We were seen promptly and welcomed by the assisting Nurse, as well as Mr White.

I am a consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in hip and knee surgery. My NHS practice is based at Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital, both part of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
I perform a large number of hip and knee replacement operations each year. I have a subspecialist interest in revision hip surgery and the treatment of the young patient with an arthritic hip. I also offer certain arthroscopic knee procedures and partial knee replacements where appropriate.
