Mr Borrill was most supportive and encouraging throughout - attentive pre and post op, and gave me full confidence that I would get my mobility and quality of life back.
After having 'soldiered on' in extreme pain and discomfort in hips and knees for more than18 months, trying physio, injections, and painkillers, I was referred to Mr Borrill who immediately identified the source as one hip, and recommended replacement (carried out promptly at Spire Hospital, Manchester). 11 months later I have been discharged and am greatly relieved to have regained strength in my legs, and to be virtually pain free. I have resumed working, walking, swimming, etc. When the time comes for the other hip, I will request referral to Mr Borrill again. Recovery began with the highly skilled surgery, and depends on committing to the follow up physio and hydrotherapy to make the most of it.
