Mr Borrill carried out a total left knee replacement for me in October 2019 at the BMI Alexandra, Manchester, under sedation and a spinal anaesthetic. He clearly explained everything beforehand and checked up on me afterwards. The operation was very successful and the hospital care excellent; I was able to be discharged after only two nights.
I have experienced minimal subsequent pain, just some stiffness. Within a few weeks could dispense with walking aids and walk further and more easily than before my operation. I could even get back on my motorbike after 6 weeks! The incision for the operation has healed up very easily and neatly.
I had four follow-up physio sessions at the Alex. where they gave me a series of exercises to follow daily, changing the exercises as the healing progressed.
I can unhesitatingly reccommend Mr Borrill and the BMI Alex for orthopaedic problems.
