As a top knee surgeon Mr Jonathan Bell came highly recommended to me by a friend who had received successful knee surgery from him 10 years ago. Three weeks following a right knee arthroscopy I can report that not only is his surgery first rate (the scars are already so neat and smooth and the knee joint is feeling good), but he has an excellent manner with patients. I felt fully listened to, my concerns were genuinely taking into account, and I had sufficient time to discuss my options. I didn't feel in the slightest bit rushed into considering surgery. Yet when I did decide to proceed, a very convenient date was efficiently secured in order to fit around my work commitments. Mr Bell has supported me throughout the entire process from initial consultation to follow-up from the surgery. He is highly professional, but very humane in terms of patients' needs and concerns. I would highly recommend Mr Bell for anyone with knee issues. Mine were ongoing for 10 years and I wish I had approached him much sooner.

I recently had to see Jonathan for a second opinion on a knee injury i had sustained and i cannot recomend him highly enough. I am a marathoner runner desperate to resume training .He took the time to explain my injury in detail with the aid of my MRI scan in a way that was easy to understand. .He had answers for the many questions i had and it was obvious he was a expert in this field. . Sustaining a knee injury can be a very stressful time and Jonathan made me feel totally at ease. Finally i would also just like to mention the fantastic service and assistance i received from his secretary Ellie. To everyone out there who may have knee problems now or in the future -if you want the best treatment see someone who is a expert in this field and Jonathan fits the bill Gary VS

I was referred by my GP to see Mr Jonathan Bell under BUPA after suffering a fall and injuring my right knee causing a tear in partial meniscus. Initially i saw Mr Bell at New Victoria Hospital in Kingston for a general consultation and MRI. Mr Bell was very professional and explained all the options available to me in a very precise and relaxing manner... Surgery to repair the tear in the meniscus of my right knee was schedule soon afterwards at Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon. I had an Arthroscopy of the right knee. All the staff at both Hospitals were excellent and Ellie ( Mr Bell's secretary...) was great at finding the best appointment times and suitable dates for my surgery. The surgery was done on a outpatient basis and i left hospital the same day in the evening. A week after surgery i was referred by Mr Bell to Physiotherapist Ben Wild at Physio one in Kingston. My recovery has been great and I'm very happy with the work performed by Mr Bell. Thus recommending Mr Bell to anyone with knee injuries...

Listened to my description and scan info; very clear explanation of the problem and options for fixing it, including 'do nothing'; explained the procedure and recovery; great care on the day by Dr Bell and the whole team at Parkside Hospital; follow up consultation was quick but covered all my questions; excellent recommendation for physio treatment. 3 months on the wounds are well healed, the remaining scar very small and neat, and with physio help I'm back to (some) running! Many thanks

I had ACL reconstruction surgery with Jonathan Bell in March 2014. Right from the initial consultation he made me feel comfortable with the process and all the options open to me. As a competitive kickboxer he fully addressed my need to get back into training and competition quickly but safely. He dealt with all of my concerns and questions and I left the initial consultation confident that I would be back to full training within a year. The surgery itself was without complications and both Mr Bell and his anaesthetist were very reassuring on the day. The aftercare given was superb, even down to the physio referral I received on discharge from the clinic and with both Mr Bell and my physio's advice I was back to full training and near full power 8 months after the operation and should be back into competition in the next month - a year after the operation. I cannot recommend Jonathan Bell highly enough for his expertise in ACL reconstruction and his understanding of needs of athletes in particular.
