Having had a procedure for removal of a basal cell carcinoma from my face. I have to express my admiration for the manner and skill of this surgeon. He has a wonderful self-effacing manner which immediately gives the whole team and unit A wonderful ambiance. It was indeed, a pleasure to be attended to by Mr. Telfer and his team. I noted the caring and professional guidance that he gave to all members of his team and their admiration and respect was obvious. My thanks to Mr. Telfer and his team.. So glad they are part of our N.H.S. and carry out a busy demanding job with such dedication and grace. Thank you all. Agnes Clare

I can honestly say without question Mr John Telfer is one of the nicest and most pleasant individuals I have ever had the pleasure to meet. His manner at my consultation was very reassuring and he completely put me at ease. I was extremely nervous and worried that I had some sort of potentially life threatening condition and within the first 15 minutes my anxiety levels were greatly reduced and I was completely reassured. His surgical skills are second to none and I was left with very faint scarring. I would have absolutely no difficulty in recommending this surgeon.

MrTelfer (Plastic surgeon) had been with me from the beginning of my journey sept 2016 after my abdomen was damaged beyond repair, I had a C sector and had suspected Necrotising fasciitis (life threatening) after severe debridement and 16 operations to cut my tummy skin, fat and core muscles away, it was left in a huge mess and I was left devastated with a new baby. MR Telfer had nothing to do with the 16 operations in the beginning he was brought in at the end to reconstruct my tummy and he was so patient and reassuring to me “God” I was an emotional wreck with PTSD and a new baby, spent 3 months in hospital, cried for a year solid bcoz I was so upset with what had happened to me and it’s taken nearly 3 years and numerous operations/ skin grafts and abdominoplasty to reconstruct, all completed with mr Telfer, he has been amazing, can’t even put into word what I think of this wonderful man, he’s never gave up on me, I remember in the beginning thinking I’d get patched up and moved on but he’s been so supportive and reassuring and I can honestly say I trusted him with my life, without a doubt and thats amazing for me considering what Iv been through. I will never be able to repay mr Telfer With his part in my journey, it’s impossible but I have personally been so greatful to him and his team at the Royal infirmary NHS Glashow for their support over the years, he puts his patients first, doesn’t rush anything and gives you total confidence. So great-full to have been cared for from such a HUMBLE MAN.

I have been a patient of Mr Telfer for a long time. My experience is completely at variance from the other review. He is a very mild mannered man who is exceptionally polite and takes time explaining any procedure he may carry out. His skills as a surgeon are beyond question. I would recommend Mr Telfer without hesitation.

Very disappointing consultation re Mr Telfer..Found him to be severley lacking in any kind of social/people skills?..Waited 40mins after app time.Didnt have the courtesty to introduce himself or make me feel at ease in any way..Certainly wouldnt recommend from my disappointing experience..
