This man is the ONLY reason I'm alive and here to tell the tale. After nearly two decades of GPs, gynaes and god knows what other medical professionals not listening to me, Mr Kirwan not only listened to me but he believed me, got me a diagnosis and treated me. I always thought the day he discharged me would be the best day of my life but I was actually really sad to say goodbye to him. My mental health took such a huge bashing during my 18 years of hell and suicidal thoughts became something I was battling but he listened and he did anything and everything he could to make sure my thoughts did not become a reality. Thank you Mr Kirwan. You not only saved me from myself but you took away my physical pains (well the gynae ones!) and I really could not have wished to meet anyone nicer or more compassionate. You always said that I was interesting and different but you always added on "which isnt great news for you" but you never made me feel weird, different or any of the other things that other drs had. You're a star and I'm genuinely going to miss seeing you!
