After suffering the most intense facial pain for many years caused by Trigeminal Neuralgia, I was referred by my GP to Mr Jibril Osman Farah. I’ll be forever grateful to Mr Farah who truly understands this condition like no one else I’ve met with. He explained everything in simple terms and at all times took time to listen and answer my questions. Mr Farah offered me surgery but at that time my condition was settling. I’m very anxious about how long it will be before the pain will return but feel confident and reassured that Mr Farah will be the best surgeon to correct this.

I’ve been under the care of Mr Farah for a while. On 24 August 23, I was admitted to the Walton Centre to undergo MR Focused Ultrasound Thalamotomy for Essential Tremor in my right hand. From arrival at 7am to discharge the next day, may I say that the whole experience was absolutely fantastic. From Mr Farah and his team of Doctors to the people who shaved my head in readiness for my procedure and not forgetting the wonderful nursing staff and the smiling assistant who videotaped my tremor before and after my procedure. I found Mr Farah and his team most professional and caring and answered all my questions which really helped me. Look forward now to my outpatient appointments and hopefully next year I will be able to have the same procedure done on my left hand.

Mr Osman-Farah is excellent in his field of expertise as a Neurosurgeon, I have had the three procedures undertaken by him and all have been a great success. His is very knowledgeable and understanding explaining everything clearly, from start to being discharged he is always there checking everything is okay. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and would use his services again if ever I needed them.

I found it easy to talk to Mr Farah which is important to me. I felt he was extremely sympathetic and understanding. It was comforting to know that I was in the hands of and extremely experienced man who was able to explain things to me in a way that I understood. I was very scared when I received my original diagnosis and he understood that treated me with compassion and this gave me confidence. I totally trust him. He continued to monitor me and although we have agree that I no longer need to see him regularly he has ensured that I know how to make contact with him through his team should I feel the need. I loved the informality of his dress and his sense of humour.

Very pleasant consultation with Dr Farah who explained treatment options for my trigeminal neuralgia clearly. Every faith if I needed further treatment it will be done in a understanding and professional manner.
