3 weeks post hip replacement and my recovery is exceeding expectations. After one week I was able to walk comfortably round a small supermarket. Mr Palan explained fully what the operation entailed, potential side effects from surgery and when I could realistically resume a more normal way of life. Apart from obvious stiffness in the muscles around the new hip I am without pain for the first time in months. It's a great relief to have the surgery behind me and I can now look forward to the summer in comfort.

From the first interview with Mr Palan I felt total confidence in him. He carefully explained the full procedure of what would take place before, during and after the operation. He patiently listened to my questions and replied to each one. I was satisfied and completely reassured that there was nothing to fear and that everything would proceed smoothly. He put me at ease right from the start, it was like talking to a friend. I experienced no pain either during the operation or in the recovery period. The wound healed perfectly and I am making rapid progress back to normality. I cannot find a single fault with this gentleman's skill and expertise. I would not hesitate ask for him again should a similar problem occur.

Mr Palan is kind, considerate and caring, he is approachable and spent some time talking to me about the surgery I required to replace my arthritic hip. I was very impressed with the surgery and treatment I received, not only from Mr Palan but all the staff at Chapel Allerton Hospital who made my stay as comfortable and pain free as possible. I have lived in several countries including the USA and have never experienced such wonderful service. Mr Palan has given me a new lease on life and I look forward to being able to play tennis again this Spring even at my great age of 89!

I was very happy with my treatment under Dr. Palan, who's a very experienced and highly skilled surgeon. He was very sympathetic to my problem, and did his utmost best to get me in and treated. I was very impressed with him, and life is so much better for me now, thanks to this gentleman.
