Following an accident in November I had a large, painful open wound on my lower leg which was not healing for two months. I started fearing the worst, because I am an older person with severe health conditions which make me vulnerable to infection. I sought specialist help from Mr Crane. He explained to me exactly what I needed to do and what dressings and medicine I needed to use on the wound. After following his advice meticulously for a month I was delighted that he pronounced the wound completely healed. I would unreservedly recommend Mr Crane for people who seek help with open wounds and ulcers. He is very knowledgeable and supportive, and without his guidance and support I could not have overcome this problem.
Mr Crane is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon with an impressive amount of experience and expertise in his field. From my initial consultation, I knew I was in safe hands with him.
His caring and empathetic approach really stands out, and I have been really impressed with the level of attention, care, patience to explain and answer all questions and the reassurance on the progress and outcome.
My veins surgery went extremely well with no complications and a full recovery within record time, and this is all thanks to Mr Crane's skills and great expertise.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Mr Crane to everyone seeking a superb medical service.

What an amazing doctor! I was so relieved when in sheer desperation, I finally went to the Wound Clinic to treat a necrotic leg wound, which I had incurred as a result of a skiing accident. Having gone through three operations and a skin graft, which failed, I was immensely relieved to find Mr Jeremy Crane. From the moment I met Mr Crane, he put me at total ease and gave me the assurance that with proper wound management, my leg would heal. It took 6 weeks to heal completely. This, after months of dealing with an open wound and the prospect of further operations, was nothing short of a miracle. Mr Crane has a lovely and reassuring manner, which is exactly what I needed in the circumstances. His proper diagnosis of my situation finally led to an effective treatment plan being put in place, which was far simpler and less distressing than other treatment options presented to me elsewhere. I recommend him wholeheartedly.
Dr Crane operated me almost two years back or
Slightly more and he was really good. Very attentive and a great bedside manner!
In September 2023, I went to Turkey for plastic surgery, including a thigh lift procedure. Although the rest of my surgery went very well, the thigh lift was something of a disaster. My thighs did not heal properly after this procedure, and I was left with two gaping wounds on both of my inner thighs. This was very uncomfortable, and left me in a state of panic and desperation.
After trying in vain to get help at both my GP surgery and in the Urgent Care department of my local hospital here in London, I returned to Istanbul for a week to see my surgeon again, but although he tried his best to heal my wounds, he was unable to do so, and I came back to London in a worse state than before. I did not know where to turn. I could not walk properly, I couldn't go to the office, I couldn't go out with friends, see my family or even walk the dog. The wounds on my inner thighs were deep, shocking and debilitating, and no one knew how to help me. I felt so alone and in utter despair. And then I found Mr. Jeremy Crane.
One evening shortly after my second trip to Turkey, on one of my many internet searches for something or someone who could save me from my living hell, I came across The Wound Clinic, set up and led by Mr. Jeremy Crane. The following morning I called and spoke to Mr. Crane's assistant, Tahera Begum. From the moment I spoke to Tahera I felt that I was going to be ok. Tahera was so kind, so calm, and totally non-judgmental about my situation. She told me that Mr. Crane has a lot of experience with post-plastic surgery wounds (particularly surgery carried out abroad) and that he would be able to help me. The relief was overwhelming. For the first time in four weeks I didn't feel alone anymore. I immediately booked an appointment for the following day.
I arrived at The Platinum Medical Centre the next morning, excited to start my journey to recovery. Mr. Crane did a short consultation with me prior to the initial examination. It was then time for him to see my wounds. When he saw them, he showed total calm and professionalism, and reassured me that he would be able to help me. Mr. Crane explained to me that more often than not, people are using the wrong dressings for their wounds which are preventing their healing. He cleaned both wounds using Prontosan, and then applied Surgi Honey. He applied Aquacel dressings with Mepilex on top, and wrote down a list for me of these products which I needed to purchase, and the instructions I needed to follow for my wounds to heal. He told me not to use the gauze and antibiotic creams which I had previously been told to use, as these were aggravating the wounds and not helping at all. We booked in a follow-up appointment for a week later. After just 2-3 days I noticed a difference in the wounds. I was amazed.
The appointments continued once a week for the first month. I started to go back to the office a couple of days a week and was able to meet my friends and family again. After a month, Mr. Crane recommended I see him every fortnight instead of every week. The wounds continued to improve. As instructed by Mr. Crane, I changed the dressings every other day and soaked them in Prontosan for 10 minutes as an irrigation treatment. The wound on my right thigh was improving faster than the left. It had always been a slightly less complex wound, but now it was accelerating in the healing, whereas the left wound went a bit static in terms of healing. Mr. Crane told me not to panic, and explained that this can be quite common in wounds. As we approached Christmas, I noticed that the right wound seemed almost healed. At my appointment on the 12th January 2024, Mr. Crane confirmed that my right wound had completed healing. I now had only one wound!
The left wound took a little longer, but as the right one had done, it suddenly accelerated its healing (as predicted by Mr. Crane) around February 2024. During my appointment with Mr. Crane in early March, it was almost healed, but not quite. I saw Mr. Crane for the final time on the 28th March 2024 (which was also my mum's birthday!). During this visit, Mr. Crane pronounced my left wound healed. So now both wounds had healed. This was a wonderful day.
Mr. Crane advised me to give the healed wounds some fresh air as they had been covered up for so long, and the skin was quite sensitive and tender. I followed this advice, and 10 weeks on, my thighs feel pretty much normal! I had previously been wearing anti-chafing shorts to protect the sites of the wounds, but I gradually stopped doing that, and I can now wear all my clothes as usual, without having to put shorts underneath. I can have a bath rather than always having to take a shower, I can go in the swimming pool on holiday, I can wear swimsuits! I can live my life again.
I am forever grateful to Mr. Crane who saved me from my frightening and truly awful situation. I always enjoyed my visits to Mr. Crane; he is very personable and cheerful, he was always happy to have a chat and a laugh to make me feel at ease, and which took my mind off my wounds. He always listened to me and made me feel cared for and important as a patient. He was never judgmental about my plastic surgery in Turkey, and I always felt in totally safe hands. Mr. Crane is an absolute expert in his field, a true professional, and I have the utmost trust in him. I cannot thank Mr. Crane enough for what he has done for me, and I would highly recommend him to anyone that has a wound or wounds that you think can't be healed, and you think that your life will never be the same again. It can and it will. All I have left to say now is THANK YOU Jeremy Crane.
